No Arcuarii??
This is a perfect opportunity to shoot through the front line of Cetrati, drag them into contact with the Cetrati, smack them through the Cetrati, and then let the Cetrati finish them off.
With Xerxis' feat turn, a whole unit of medium bases could be brought down easily!
And don't get me started on a charging, enraged Gladiator, getting three attacks and a double handed throw with an extra dice of damage each, AND +2 ARM!!!
Xerxis is out of control and I love him. ;) I'd recommend heavier beasts and infantry, but try this list out and let us know how it goes.

I did consider the heavier stuff but I went for more light beasts and infantry just to churn out the sheer volume of attacks. Cetrati or swordsmen hitting on the feat turn with fury up is going to bring most things down anyway I though having the arcuarii in too would be a little over kill on the heavy hitting where xerxis' real problem is taking out massed armies, hence the double master tormentors etc. I think anything a titan gladiator could comfortably handle on the feat turn a set of charging, furied, feated, combo-striking swordsmen could take down just as easily :) and at the same time also be effective against other infantry.

Played a similiar list at 35 points but with a Cannoneer as my lone beast. Praetorians with Fury and Tyrant's Executioner battle plan were rediculously effective on Trollbloods, especially against Krielstone warriors when Perfect Strike was up. Then there was a 5d6 damage Cetrati feat-turn charge...basically a lawnmower of death.
I wanted Arcuarii to shine but they proved to be really poor in my list, used them behind the cetrati with the goal of pulling models to me...2 missed their range attack, one missed a melee and the other hit with the ranged and wounded with the melee pull in...but nothing that made a difference. The Cetrati on the otherhand, DAMN!
Master Tormentor was also effective, used her speed and advanced deploy placement to clear the 'in charge range' guys with a Thresher attack, then vanished back behind my own advancing lines. Took away 3 guys that would have been able to get start the charge on my Praetorians and made him simply advance during his turn versus charging in. Nice kill factor and defensive move.

Updated Xerxis list, added the rhinodon for more punch and the shaman for simpler access to amuck (on xerxis?... :) ) and for some anti-magic, dropped the brute, the savage and one master tormentor:
Tyrant Xerxis (+6)
+ Rhinodn = 8
+ Cyclops Shaman = 4
6 Cataphract Cetrati = 11
Tyrant Commander = 3
Tyrant Commander = 3
10 Pretorian Swordsmen + UA = 8
10 Venetor Reivers = 10
Venetor Catapult = 3
4 Paingiver Beast Handlers = 2
Paingiver Master Tormentor = 2
Extoller Soulward = 2
Total = 50
