I was thinking on a list for SR 2010
and i would love your opinion
the name has nothing to do with the books just a nice title for the list :)
grissel
pyre troll
2 winter troll
2 units of full champs
2 fel callers
total 35 points
a bit boring, but i think it will be very affective.
the main strategy is freezing everything that charges or gets close and counter charge with serious hits with grissels feat giving champions alot of damage potential.

i dont think you need two fell callers, as a unit can only ever be under one fell call, the last thing you want to do is negate Grissel's calls. drop one fell caller for a champ hero to give your champs some added maneuverability.
as much damage potential as your champs have your gonna run into trouble against any list that brings 2 heavies or more. i like the fluff, but your beast set isnt very optimal, a winter and pyre equal a mualer im pretty sure, which would be a better choice.
my recommendation
Grissel
Mauler
Winter Troll
2 units of Full Champs
Fell Caller
Troll Champ hero

You need stories.

in this list i dont think it is very important if the troll get read to, since they are already being screamed at, and there isnt any room for it unless he wants to go only 1 champ unit and 2 might be doable

I'd love to add something useful, but you have managed to pick something which I have no to very little Mk II experience with. Good luck.

i was thinking about the useless fell caller, i think my problem lyes in my symetrical thinking, i need two of everything...
i dont have a hero and dont have a storyteller, so that wont work.
i really loved the flufy part of all my beasts shouting flames or ice from their mouths,
and that i have 5 sprays to use when i need it.
I dont want to drop a beast, cause I will need the fury,
but any other suggestions about replacing the fel caller ?
maybe whelps and gobbers ? to protect a bit from shooting ?

sir i am sorry, but its simply to light, khador will rofl stomp it, and they should be the least of our worries, 5 sprays is nifty but when there is nothing to spray what will you do. fury wont be a problem as 5+3 equals 8 and Grissel can only hold 6, you need a heavy one way or another just to have some punch.

I do like the fire and ice combo, although it's not as deadly as it was in MkI. In the last MkI tournament that we held before switching to MkII, I took a fire and ice list. My side of the 2v2 ended when the Pyre Troll gave Flaming Fists to the Winter Troll, who then charged the enemy caster. With a ridiculous set of rolls, the Winter Troll crit and set the caster on fire, then crit with chain attack ice breath and froze him at the same time. 'Twas Glorious.
Now the Winter lost it's chain attack, and the Pyre lost the damage buff.
Overall, the two units of champs might be able to take down a list with heavies, but only if they're not shot to death before combat. Looks like you'd really be betting on getting a critical spray hit from the winter trolls to make them stationary for free melees, which is about like depending on critical slams from an impaler. It's awesome when it happens, but shouldn't be a key in your strategy.
