OK - this may be a simple setting that I missed somewhere in the setup, but it seems that every time I close my browser, logged out or not, the forums mark all threads as read.

I'm finding this insanely confusing, as I keep missing huge blocks of posts in any given thread that I'm trying to follow.

Also, most recently, when I did a quick reply in the Trollblood Community, it marked the entire sub-forum as read, which it most certainly was not.

Anybody else having these issues?
Anyone know if there's a simple fix?

As far as I know all vBulletins work that way.

It can be quite confusing. Is there a way to fix it?

I've been on vBulletin boards where this was not a problem. It should be fixed here.

In addition, I think the monochrome look of the boards makes it harder to distinguish at a glance which threads are read/unread.

If you really want to keep track of a thread, especially one you are participating in, I would suggest using the subscribing function in the "Forum Tools" drop down. You can get a daily digest directly emailed to you. That way you are on the up and up. You can cancel the subscription from the "User CP".

Also note, that you may be auto-subscribed to a thread that you post in, but the default will not email anything to you. However it will show up in your "List Subscriptions" page under the "User CP".

As for threads being "auto-read" without going to them is something we'll look into. It could be a setting or bogus cookie update.
