Attention Florida Warmachine/Hordes players!!! We are combining our members for a HUGE MEGA event. Warmachine/Hordes Press Gangers from various parts of the state have been getting in contact for the past few months to make this event happen. The event will be held in the sunny South Florida area. Of course, if players from other states want to join in the fun, they are more than welcomed. We will be using the Steam Roller 2010 rules.

Time: Register from 11am to 11:30am... Dice roll at noon (Don't be late!)

Players must bring at least two printed or legibly handwritten copies of all their army lists including point costs and an army/horde point total. They must register one copy of these lists with the TO prior to the start of the tournament. The player's opponent may view the other copies upon request.

We are looking forward to this event and eager to meet our Florida Warmachine/Hordes brothers. Players that are interested in participating should post here so that we may have an account of who's coming and to have ample time for preparations.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am happy to announce that the chess clocks have arrived!!! We will follow TempleCon's lead and will be using them. They allow for stress free and fun games.

So there will be timed games, but not necessarily timed turns?

The games will still be timed as per Steamroller 2010 rules, but instead of having 10 minute turns, each player will have approximately 60 minutes to complete the game. It avoids the 10 minute time pressure each turn...so, for example, you can take 5 minutes on your first turn, 12 on your second and 20 on your third. As long as you do not pass the 60 minutes time limit, you are allowed to use the time allotment as you choose.

I will try to explain the way it works and it's benefits in a later post.

So far we have eight, but I know of at least another four from Miami who will be attending, Ed, Mario, Chris, and Ray, not to mention a few others from Broward.
