Thomas Hoffman is tearing it up with eButcher in the first two rounds. When I saw it was eButcher vs eKrueger I was worried for the motherland, but he somehow prevailed. I hope someone is taking notes because I'd love to read those battle reports.

Winning masters with eButcher and Strakhov would sure shake things up on the Khadornet.

Looks like Thomas lost to Trolls in round 3... I guess the motherland is not taking it all this time. I'm also wondering why so many people apparently dropped out of the tourney - is that common at this level of event??

They left to get to the airport with plenty of time to fly back to texas, all three of them traveled together.

Not to mention the second you lose, your pretty much out of contention. Players of round 1-2 who lose drop out for this reason, semi-final loser still play for third.

Typically it is pretty common. Most guys in masters are there to win. They didn't have to catch a flight to Texas as they were there at closing ceremonies. They just didn't want to play. Mr. Hoffman has bee running the Butcher tier for a few years now, always exciting watching him play. He ran into Flanzer in the third round with a list that was an uphill battle.
