Ok so the question is... if i go to the trouble of actually doing a bunch of battle reports like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF6kjgAGmH4
would you guys be interested in watching them?
Now this is just a demo and i plan on only fielding fully painted army's and full terrain and scenery.. but what do you guys think?
i would also have to slow things down a bit...
thanks for the feedback

Of Course! I admire Ray Harryhausen the good old Master of Stop Motion. If you do Stop Motion Battlereports... WOW! That will be a lot of work but it would be awesome.
I would love to see a full battle report in that style!

stop motion battle reports with a lot of models seem insanely long to do

That was win. I liked the way the other beasts came to give moral support even when the carnivean was winning.

That was impressively and would certainly be interesting to watch; though, as someone who enjoys battle reports for what I can learn from them, I would also hope that commentary would be added, rather than just sound effects and music.
Regardless, look forward to this for the pure entertainment value as well!

yea, absolutely we will be adding some type of commentary... either text boxes or audio commentary... not sure which one yet.. i have a lot of bugs to work out and i'm sorta figuring them out as i go...
anyway which method would you guys prefer? readable text describing what casters and beasts are doing? or an audio commentary over the battle seen?
i think im leaning more towards text so that the battles can stay with audio effects but let me know what you guys think...
we're also working on the first battle right now... a 15pt match between Legion of Everblight and Cryx... i threw up a WIP of the deployment so you guys can see how its coming along... i had a real problem with the green screen so i will be fixing that for the next movie, but like i said a lot of this is trial and error... so please bear with me for the first couple of movies!
they will be quite awesome in the future! and again any criticism or advice would be greatly appreciated... hope you guys enjoy:

XD, wow, that looks great!
I can't wait to see the whole thing. How long does the stop motion take?

me and tom played a 15pt game on saturday... we started around 10 - 10.30 and ended around 1.30. thats 3 hours... now this was our first real go at it so we had to work out a lot of kinks so i would imagine in the future a 15pt game could be played and filmed in 2 hours? of course that all depends on how much time each opponent spends thinking about their moves and stuff... a larger game would take longer... but its not too bad when you a get a rhythm going ...
putting the stuff together with audio and effects in final cut doesnt seem too bad either except for im kinda learning it all as i go in the future it seems like it will get a lot faster and of course cleaner... im a little ashamed of the poor quality in green screening and camera angles and stuff so far but, you can only do so much each time.. so they will steadily get better and better..
Hey Shadow if you ever wanna come down sometime we could film your khador playing against one of us... that would be awesome!
see ya round.

yes, but only if you have the time for it. your opponents might not have the patience for it.
I will ;)
