View Full Version : Charge Movement, (Pause), Charge Attack?

In another thread, Mootaz (infernal) said the Mk I charge cannot be interupted rule is no longer true in Mk II:

No longer true in MK2.

Can I ask where it states this in the rule book?
If an infernal say so it must be true, but I'm comparing the Mk I charge rules to the the Mk II charge rules, and I cannot identify the difference in wording that allows this.

The charge section looks pretty identical to the Mk I charge section with the exception of the rough terrain bit...

opp, posted in the wrong forum. Can a mod move this to the rules forum?

The only difference I can find in wording is that in MK1 it says a charge "combines a model's movement and action to charge" while in MK2 it says "A model must have both its normal
movement and action in order to use its normal movement
to charge."
In MK2 you use your movement to charge, and then make attacks, first attack being a charge attack.
In MK1, you combined your movement and action into a single entity, resulting in a move-attack.

Erratum: Primal p.56 : Spell Caster
Add the following to Spell Caster:

A warlock may cast a spell before or after moving but not in the middle of his movement. Likewise, he may cast a spell before and after each attack, but he cannot interrupt an unresolved attack, nor can he cast a spell between the movement and attack portions of a charge. Spells may be cast prior to initiating an attack or after completely resolving an attack, including determining hits, damage, and special effects.

MK II Rules for Spellcaster no longer contain the condition in question.

In MKII, what this amounts to is that you can declare a charge, move, cast spells and/or feat, and such, before your take you attack.

Yes. The old restriction is gone.
