Hi all,

Cygnar, casual Circle player here, looking to dabble in Trolls. Not too pleased with the Circle right now. I'm looking for a more straight forward beatdown force, and I love the character of the Mighty Kegslayer, so here I go! :)

I'm starting very small. Here's what I've got:

BORKA!
DTM
Axer- 2
Impaler- 2

Boomhowler & Co.- 10
Wrong Eye and Snapjaw
Gators- 5
Bonegrinders- 5(?)

I'm more looking to play these models I like, not so much the "best" ones. I might get some Fennblades eventually. Any thoughts for a competent 25 pt list with what I have here? :)

Might I suggest more Troll infantry to take advantage of Iron Flesh and the feat...

I do see what you mean with the feat. However Iron Flesh says nothing of Faction, just

Target friendly warrior model/unit gains +3 DEF but suffers ?1 SPD.

Well, I'll be getting some Fennblades at some point. What might make a usable list for the above models, though?

Ok then, let's try this question:

What would be a good battlegroup/15 pt. list for Borka?

Well i am about to start trollbloods and i am going to start with:
Borka -5
Dire Troll Mauler +9
10 Fennblades +8
Fell Caller Hero +3

Its got a big unit of infantry for Fell Caller to buff and to iron flesh while the mauler provides a big beatstick with a great chain attack and fury 5 to pump Borka up to full.

You might be able to get away with just the Mauler at 15 pts but if you decide to play larger games your going to need more beasts. The Mauler is going to have to go to max Fury every turn to get Borka his full which means no transfers and if the Mauler dies, your pretty much screwed. A safe bet usually is to bring around 1.5 times your caster's Fury in beasts so you can transfer and still having something to leach from in case one dies.

Just depends on how you play the Mauler I suppose. I tend to like to play less beasts and so keeping the Mauler in back generating 4 fury per turn allowing for transfers. AND cutting for fury if needed late game. it would be fine.

I just think that while Fen Blades are pretty good, they're not very beefy. But if you can keep them alive long enough to kill sumthin' then yer' good.
