eCaine is the John Elway of Cygnar; if he is on the field you have a chance regardless of losses. I killed Absolonia after losing everything but Reinhold, a Hunter with no marshall, the squire, 1 atgm, and 2 rangers. The game was a dance around a building and Legion was whittling me down, and was poised to win, but like I said I still had Allister. Absolonia came out from hiding to cast spells on her beasts and help kill the 'dude' and some gun mages. Next turn I drop blur and get a squire focus ( last one ), run rangers within 5" of her and came out from cover and shot her 8 times on the feat turn. Eventually she died and i still had 2 focus. So in short to win with eCaine keep 1 ranger alive somehow and Rienhold, and the squire and be within 19" , and get LOS to the enemy caster; you will probably win. Karchev results still pending.

Well it's never over until it's over and that's why it annoys me when some people just give up. I'll fight until I can't fight anymore, that way I'm not left with that dissatisfied taste in my mouth. Sure it sucks when you don't win, but sometimes you just get beaten by someone better than you or poor dice rolls.
You lost a lot and yet kept key pieces in play to ensure your victory. Never give up and never say die! Congrats!

My general rule of thumb with the Caines is to play a turn past where everything goes to ****, see if I can pull it out. Can the Caines slowly pick apart a force if you priotized the right models early on and singlehandedly wear down an opponent? Yes. Outside of a tournament setting, should you do this? No. It's just no fun. So I go one turn past my plans falling apart, see if I can pull something out. If not, I say good game.

That seems like a good rule Mutton.

Unless John Elway can teleport and shoots people in the back I wouldn't say he is much like caine......

Actually, he can. So, comparison works.

Actually I was thinking of the one man army and the never say die attitude. I am thinking John Elway could teleport in a limited fashion, so many missed sacks on him. :)

The only other caster we have besides eCaine that can do it is eStryker.
And when he does it, its full of lulz.
I was playing against PoM and was having my behind handed to me. "Here, this is another little piece, I think from the left cheek." The last turn of the game all I had left (bear in mind this was mk1) was a hunter, Ryan from the b13, eStryker and his squire. I was about to give up when I said, "What the hell, Im going to loose anyway."
I velocitied up 6 inches, and charged the choir that were screening Kreos. Killed both choir members and was like 0.5" out of reach of kreos. My friend was all like, "Guess you loose."
I smiled and said, "Nope. I activate my armour. Owe I take 13 damage. I gain 16 strength. I activate my feat. Everything moves up 3" and makes 1 attack. I boost to hit. I boost damage. Kreos eats a POW 44 sword swing to the temple. Good game."

The Overload bonus expires at the end of eStryker's activation, and the feat moves pop after all friendly models have completed their activations

I dont have my mk1 cards here, but back then I dont think it stipulated that. Could be wrong.
Also, it is debatable whether Stryker's activation has actually ended, as it does not state "After all friendly models (including Lord Commander Stryker) have completed their activations this turn..."

eStyker's activation would have ended, but in MK I his strength bonus lasted either a full turn or a round (I can't recall which, as it never came up).

Ya it never came up for us either. Usually whenever eStryker Overloaded, the game was over.
I'm pretty sure overload strength lasted for eStryker's feat turn in MK1.
It was a great way to squeese out an extra 3" threat range for one massive killing blow.
I'm sad it doesn't last for the feat turn in MK2, I had some fun zooming at casters 20" away with +10 strength on average!
Didn't realise I was cheating...or did I?

Just checked the cards.
"Once during his activation, Stryker may roll between one and three dice and add the result to his STR for the round."
So we werent cheating. :)
