You have way too many beasts. I'd suggest investing in some of our infantry. We have some really great troops and the way our buffing works we can get amazing results out of them. Since you mention money is a factor I'd steer you clear of Runeshapers and Burrowers because they're really niche units. I'd also like to mention Champs and Fennblades come a full unit to a box.

If you're trying to start from the battlebox Brettman's right. The -most- important things to fit in are:

- Battlebox
- Mauler
- Champs
- Fell Caller
- KSB

Beyond that you can fill to taste - but those are the real crux of a madrak list.

Krielstone Bearer (KSB) and his mandatory unit attachment the Stone Scribe Elder (SSE).

Your beast combo is one of my favorite ones to have with Grim.

Personally I'd lose Boomhowler as him and his boys cannot be affected by the Kriel Stone as they are not 'friendly faction models'. For the same 6 points you can bring 10xKriel Warriors. Also Cross Country and Return Fire from Grim only works on friendly faction models as well.

Here is one of my mores successful 25pt Grim lists.

im in love with the original list, I am absolutley in love with axers and impalers and am one who won't give a second glance when i lose a game as long as I played with the toy soldiers I like looking at. so instead of going for cheap, spend some time on the army maybe save up and buy what you want, or if you want to be competitive ( no problem with that) you can do some of the things others are saying, I vote strongly for personal enjoyment in the models you use. If you arent on a deadline to finish the army, don't rush it. though I don't really know much about the tournament scene for hordes, is it really competitive or is there a lot of for fun players?
