I'm looking to start playing in tournaments with Terminus. My main concerns are list make-up for Terminus, since he is so dependant on his army for success and the other is about Terminus himself. Will he get shut down by an army with few living models? Anyways her is the list...
Army Points: 35
Name Cost
Name Cost
Lich Lord Terminus -4
Deathripper 4
Deathjack 12
Seether 9
Mechanithralls (6/10) 3
Mechanithralls (6/10) 3
Necrosurgeon (3) 2
Withershadow Combine (3) 5
Brute Thrall 1

I play a bit of a different list with Terminous at 35 points that is pretty solid and I've been told by opponents that the list is pretty tough to play against:
Terminous -(-4)
DeathJack-12
Seethers x2 -18
Mechanithralls x2 (min.) -12
Necrosurgeon -2
Necrotech -1
Since all the jacks run themselves pretty much they have the ability to run well outside of control areas and capture objectives or setup a scary flank. IMO there is no need for an arcnode for Termys spell list since he prefers to get into combat then blasting enemies.. and you could easily use his sp10 breath attack than his 3/4 cost spells for range. Its nice to get the extra focus from living enemies but isn't necessary for a win though. If you can get to a caster and have 5 focus (I usually have the upkeep spell on him) usually its a dead opposing caster by the end of the turn. anyway thats just me.

Thats one of the reasons I liked the Withershadow Combine. They can upkeep one of his spells for free. Maybe the Deathripper should go, altough I love getting three focus from an Annaliation

Plus the Combine can keep upkeeps spells of him that would otherwise seriously hamper his hitting power.

I've been testing a terminus list for a few weeks and I keep coming up with the same problem; trample. All those small bases don't offer much protection. I'm trying to come up with some med bases to toss in. Mayhaps a brute thrall or two.

McCryx that is exactly what I was thinking as I read your post. I personally have never used a brute thrall but I can see them working out very well. If it gets killed quickly, so what? It's only one point and if well placed it can stop tramples.

So far I've found the having them in some sort of rough cloud around Terminus means that there's been no place for them to trample to, so no space to fit a large base in. Otherwise min Mech Thralls with three Brute thralls has been suggested somewhere, just can't remember where at the moment.
