Hey, those are pretty terrific figs! Tons of character in 'em. I may just find the $18 to grab these guys, even if I don't expect them to rock the gaming table.
I LOVE Bull's army surplus trencher shirt!

Not bad at all, the price is a bit higher than what I expected but that is irrelevant. Nice looking models.
Great character! Too bad I don't play any of the factions they work for. Here's hoping they have some cool new minions and mercs that will work for Circle/Retribution.

18 is well worth it for two fine looking models. The detail on the both of them is incredible. I love the contrast too, the size and look of Bull compared to Dannon

Bull as some good rules but as a unit they are rather lack luster. cool models though. Some one through thier pic up.

Really beautiful models, especially like Dannon. Their rules stink on ice to me though, so that kinda sucks. Would still be worth it to paint, maybe I'll do a diorama.

Can only hope that they will get a boost of some of the things that will be out in the books.

Really like Dannon's figure - the coat slung over the shoulder is pretty killer. :)

What kind of gun does Bull have again? I don't know if I'd field them, but I might use Bull as an alternate Maxwell Finn -- I have a desire to field trollkin in my Trencher units, so I'm always looking for a new fig to toss in.

They got all the details right, matching the cover of the Iron Kingdoms World Guide perfectly. The color of her hair, her outfit, even the little scar above her lip. They just somehow failed to make her pretty.
As for Bull, aside from the clothes, it doesn't look anything like the trollkin in the art. Younger and slimmer face, different colors, etc etc.

My guess is that they colored Bull the way that they did, so that he would appear more uniform in color with the other Trollkin of Hordes, rather than the grey'ish color of the World Guide.
Both sculpts have some really great detail, I think/hope the harshness of Dannon's face is more from the paint job than with the sculpt. And if you're wanting a more worn face for Bull, I'm betting a head swap would be pretty easy.

Agree completely. I like the sculpts except for the horse face on Dannon. I'm really hoping it's the photography and it doesn't look that harsh in person. Otherwise, looks great.

I AM STOKED TO SEE THESE BEAUTIES UP!!
I, too, am hoping it's just the paint job on Dannon that makes her less than attractive. Matt's drawing of them on the World Guide was one of the reasons I got into this game. They looked cool, she was a hot badass looking redhead. I'm going to paint them up EXACTLY like the world guide cover. Dannon is spot on, but Bull....Bull looks like a Scattergunner. I also don't know if he has quils on the back cover of the book. I may do a head swap on him in addition to painting him the grayish green.
The price makes more sense now that I see them. It looks like the models are several parts. Dannon- body and right arm/sword, Bull- Body, right arm/gun, maybe head(?).
I'm all for getting them, I hope my store gets them on time.

Minis always have a hard transition when pulled out from artworks, though some managed to come out pretty good. I put this duo as being average. But I'll definitely buy them. Maybe a head swap for Dannon is in order. :/

I've been proxying these guys in every game I've played since the rules were released, and only once have they done nothing (stupid yuri ran away from them...cowardly Khadoran). I can't say I'm anything but STOKED to see these models. Cannot wait to get my hands on them!

I really want to proxy these models and see how they work. Again the rules seem kind of lack-luster for a 4 point unit.
Just something added, like better MAT or RAT, Huntsman boosting or doing something more than +2, or an ability to get them to the front line a little easier (Camouflage).
Again, I could be very very wrong and they could perform beautifully. I will have to play-test.

Camouflage would be nice. If all goes well and my LGS gets their shipment on time, I'll be picking them up next Sunday and playing them. I think they will do fine.

Sidebar: I can't believe I never noticed this before, but is that Rutger and Taryn standing in the background, next to the Royal Valiant's engine?

It definitely looks like Rutger, so the other could easily be Taryn...and this piece of art just became that much cooler.

I really enjoy the inclusion of IK miniatures in the WM/H game. I know Dannon and Bull weren't technically IK miniatures, but they are more connected with IK than WM/H.
I hope Taryn comes soon, too.
I may have to build an IK-themed Highborn army.
I already have Harlan, Rutger is coming out in a few months, Dannon and Bull on Friday, if Taryn comes out eventually, it'll shape up to be an AWESOME army!!

Not that impressed with this pair.
Don't care at all for her sculpt.
Bull is just another trollkin.

Looks good to me. Not sure if they're worth 4 points, but they just might be in my Troll army. More guns? Yes please.
Also, I quite like Blythe. She's not supposed to be a pretty girl; she's a dirty, scarred, angry merc, and the sculpt portrays that quite well. Any criticism should be directed at her paint job.

I'm hyped about Dannon! I want to paint her! I need to paint her.
I'll need to sharpen Bull's quills and scar him abit more to rid him of his current boyish looks!

Looking at all the Troll models, I would say Horthol might be good or the one Long Rider that has his head exposed and arms down. Those two are the most logical choices for Bull's headswap. The goggles are the only thing that doesn't make sense to me.
I am really happy he doesn't look like Arnold Schartzentroll (like the Stone Scribe Chronicler and Kreil Warrior Standard Bearer) or *** stupid Runeshapers with their oversized hands and chins. He's a good looking Troll. The way all Trolls should look.

Grindak from the IK line up might be another good headswap choice.

Dannon Blythe also has Gunfighter on her card. My concern is what use is she going to get out of it.
Technically speaking Gunfighter attacks are still ranged attacks, meaning in melee combat she'll have to choose her sword or her pistol since she does not have Virtuoso like Master Holt does. Her MAT and RAT are identical as well, meaning they both have a chance to hit equally but her sword can still benefit from charge boosts.
I'm not sure Take Down would trigger from these attacks either because Gunfighter is again a ranged attack with a melee range.

You've answered your own question. She'll prefer to use her pistol for its higher POW, unless she's charging or wants to benefit from Take Down, in which case she'll have to settle for her sword. :)

Understandable enough, but again their 4 point cost leaves me longing for something.

I dunno. Bull's got enough going for him that he seems like a 3-point solo, easy. With Beat Back on his gun, just for shooting at whatever's in front of him he'll get an extra 1-3" of movement every turn, and he's obviously no slouch in melee either. I'd say Dannon adding in Prey on top of that (and having Take Down herself) is worth another point.
They're not necessarily the best 4 points you can ever take, but they shouldn't be. They're just some cool mercs that'll put out reasonable damage at range and then RFP and ignore Tough in melee. That seems like it'd be worth 4 points sometimes. :)
