Canines and Weapon Locks

Laris and the Argus do not have weapons with open fists. However, they are specifically noted as being capable of performing head/weapon-locks. (Card Rules pg 40 and 47)

When a model performs a lock, it must designate which weapon with an open fist it is using to perform the lock with. (Core Rules pg 23)

My question is: what weapon do Laris and the Argus use when performing a lock?

They cannot declare their bite attacks, because these weapons do not have the open fist advantage. But we know they can do locks, because they have a rule that says they can.

Do they use one of these weapons anyway? Or can they just do a lock without using a weapon?

It means that they can make Power Attack Headlock and weapon locks without having a weapon with the open fist advantage.

Like the Bokur can make Power Attack Slam's without being a warjack.

Its a carry over from when Jaws could perform locks (MKI)

however, since they have not declared which weapon they are performing the lock with, they are technically just doing it with nothing, and so in subsequent rounds of combat, if the lock is not broken, the argus/Laris can continue to attack using all its weapons (as per the MKII lock rules) and they are the only beasts/jacks capable of doing so.

interesting, I wonder if it was intended.
