So I'm trying to figure out the traits that a 'jack has. The IKCG has one list for steamjacks, the Liber Mechanica has a different list for mechanical constructs, and I've seen online a list that included a few other things. Can anyone narrow it down for me? I'm especial interested in weapon proficiency.

The answer is that the two are cumulative, sort of. Steamjacks and warjacks are of the type Construct (mechanikal construct, steamjack) which means they have all the standard construct traits plus the new traits for mechanikal constructs plus the specific qualities listed for steamjacks.

Here's the list. Please note that each level of specificity will overrule the details of the broader category.

Construct Qualities & Traits:
10-sided Hit Dice.
Base attack bonus equal to ¾ total Hit Dice (as cleric).
No good saving throws.
Skill points equal to (2 + Int modifier, minimum 1) per Hit Die, with quadruple skill points for the first Hit Die, if the construct has an Intelligence score. However, most constructs are mindless and gain no skill points or feats. Mindless is a mechanikal construct trait, so ignore skill points and feats.

No Constitution score.
Low-light vision.
Darkvision out to 60 feet.
Immunity to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects).
Immunity to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, stunning, disease, death effects, and necromancy effects.
Cannot heal damage on their own, but often can be repaired by exposing them to a certain kind of effect (see the creature’s description for details) or through the use of the Craft Construct feat. A construct with the fast healing special quality still benefits from that quality. This is modified under mechanikal construct traits.
Not subject to critical hits, nonlethal damage, ability damage, ability drain, fatigue, exhaustion, or energy drain. Exceptions to this are provided for, under mechanikal construct traits.
Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects, or is harmless).
Not at risk of death from massive damage. Immediately destroyed when reduced to 0 hit points or less. [COLOR="red"]Mechanikal construct traits add new consequence for massive damage.
Since it was never alive, a construct cannot be raised or resurrected.
Because its body is a mass of unliving matter, a construct is hard to destroy. Contructs gain bonus hit points based on size.
Proficient with its natural weapons only, unless generally humanoid in form, in which case proficient with any weapon mentioned in its entry.
Proficient with no armor.
Constructs do not eat, sleep, or breathe.

Mechanikal Construct Qualities & Traits:
Mindless (usually).
Cannot heal naturally, but can be repaired through class abilities or Craft Mechanikal Construct feat (instead of Craft Construct)
Not subject to critical hits, abilitiy drain, fatigue, exhaustion, or energy drain unless specifically otherwise noted.
Subject to malfunctions after suffering massive damage.

Steamjack Qualities & Traits:
Slow.
Furnace Vulnerability.
Reliance on Fuel.
Cold Vulnerability
Fire/Electricity Resistance 20 (These two are left out of the Liber Mechanika list. Oversight or intentional?)

The cold vulnerability and fire/electricity resistance are two things I was wondering about. Anyone out there know if they were left out of the Liber Mechanika as an update? Also, is a custom made Warjack proficient with the weapons you put in its hands?

The LM states, in the beginning of the book, that the information in it overrules previously published materials. So I think it was left out intentionally.

and yet. Not all of the LM overrides every other part. There are sections that present alternate options and additional rules, not outright changes.

Exactly, and I do believe the energy resistance and vulnerability appear in an issue of No quarter as well. Yet still they did leave it out.
