I'm sorry if this has been brought or asked before.

I was just wondering what Ol' Rowdy's affinity with Stryker did? All it says on the card is "Affinity (Stryker)-" and then nothing.

Any help on this would be awesome.

Also, what do you guys think about the sword knights? I love the models and the 4/6 pt. cost, but they seem to rely way to much on getting the flanking in. Arcane shield and def. formation make them armor 19 which is cool.

I was just wondering how you guys thought the Stormguard compare to them.

Thanks!

Rowdy's affinity is similar to MK1's. I think it's +2 DEF for Stryker when in B2B, and Stryker can't be KD'ed. Rowdy can't be moved by a slam.

Sword Knights are eh. Flanking tends to be overrated. Stormguard are fine I think, but electroleap has really troublesome positioning requirements.

Instead of SKs, I generally use the Devil Dogs, or Stormblades if in-faction is desirable.

"While B2B with Rowdy, Stryker gains +2 DEF against melee attack rolls and cannot be knocked down. While B2B with Stryker, Rowdy does not move when slammed."

Thank you sir.

The only thing I don't like about the Stormblades is the low model count. They hit like a truck, but even some random lucky blast damage rolls are a pretty big dent. I like my infantry nice and tarpitty I guess. How do the Stormblades fair as a mainline infantry unit?

Thank you, I'm new to Cygnar and I guess I've been spoiled by always having my Iron Fangs as my go to guys. This is also my first time playing a second faction and it feels like a whole new game after playing Khador for almost a year and a half! Love this game!

After a couple of games the new Stormblades are extremely Brutal! I did have Jr. protect them with Arcane Shield, but I think they would have fared well even without it. I have been using two squads one with the unit attachment marshalling a Stormclad, and they have been kicking some tail. Now in the most recent games i have had Strangeways with my 'clad and that has proven to be effective. As far as go to guys am having a hard time not putting a min unit of trenchers in with or without grenadiers. Good luck with your new faction!

I really miss his old affinity. The DEF 18 against ranged was awesome.
