I've run this list a few times and it's worked everytime. Comments welcome.
eMagnus -check
Renegade x2 -check
Mangle -check Beat stick!
Freebooter -check Now you are probably going to ask me why i run a
Freebooter w/ eMagnus. Because, i can put 3 focus on it, cast Mobility for +2 SPD and Pathfinder. Jury-Rigged to give it +2 SPD and have a charge at SPD 12 with Grab and Smash. So if my Renegade misses but, clips a model to knock it down i get Trash as well so i can charge 12" and auto hit to deal 4d6 on a power 14.
Lash is nice to keep Magnus and friends from being knocked down. Not good when your tactics are used against you.
Kayazy Assassins and Underboss -check What better assassin unit? They work great w/ eMagnus' feat. Run or charge them through your enemys lines on their mini feat and then pop Magnus' feat. If the enemy doesn't turn around Assassins get backstrike. If they do they have their backs to the rest of your army not to mention there will be only one direction they can go. My choice :D
Cast Dodge on them even though they have Stealth. That extra movement keeps them alive till they get into melee. Underboss gives everybody DEF 16... pretty nice.
Herne & Jonne -check Prime throwback! Such a great pair. The have pretty good stats and are GREAT for taking out light ARM Infantry or solos using Barrage Arquebuss.
Dannon Blythe & Bull -check PROXIED TO DEATH! Love this duo. They are a little tricky to master but, so much fun. Just try and keep them away from things like Electro Leap and such. :D Other than that they do very well against anything w/ low DEF and high ARM. Don't bite off more than you can chew with them, they can only shoot so much. A Bokur can really help keep them alive and provide assistance.
Lady Aiyana & Master Holt -DUH! Have to take them in every list possible. I've had them take out Black 13th thanks to Holt's Quick Draw. Also have Stealth available which is great. Have Magnus cast Calamity on a model/unit and Kiss of Lyliss from Aiyana. +4 damage is always nice.
Dougal MacNaile -check Herne & Jonne and Renegades will be his best friends.
Gorman di Wulfe -check He adds something to any list. Great toolbox solo for assistance.
Rhupert, Piper of Ord -check I always keep him back behind the Assassins to buff them up. Pathfinder or Tough are always nice to have.
3 points left ...Depending on what you're going up against jacks or beasts. Eiyrss or Alten... or you could always just go w/ that Bokur.
