Just something interesting that popped into my head earlier today.
Kaya, Bride of the Devourer
Circle Legendary Warlock
When Rapture pierced Laris' heart, Thagrosh used the blade's magic to create a backlash, causing irreparable damage to Kaya's psyche. However, not even Toruk himself could have predicted the results. Her mind shattered, losing all sense of self. It took refuge in places it had been before; the minds of beasts. The Druids of Orboros knew she had a powerful wilding, but they did not realize just how strong. With her mind fully subsumed into that of a beast, it created a direct channel to the Devourer Wurm. What exactly transpired is impossible to determine, but it left Kaya completely changed.
She is no more than an animal now. She does not speak, and does not tolerate the presence of other humans except for a few Tharn, Baldur, and on rare occasion, Morvahna. Other Druids have taken to chasing her away, as her mere presence drives the Circles warbeasts into a killing frenzy and disrupts the simple machines the Circle uses in day-to-day tasks. This event also had physical changes. Kaya's body became lithe and feral, not dissimilar to the change female Tharn experience when in battle. She has abandoned the use of tools and weapons, instead fighting and hunting with short, sharp claws that have grown from her hands.
Many Druids think it best that she should be put down. Or at the very least left in the deep wilds, where she can both be safe and others can be safe from her. Others, Kreuger in particular, see her as a weapon to be used against the enemies of the Circle. Especially the forces of the Dragons that threaten Immoren. Regardless, all see her broken form as a newly discovered risk to the power of the Devourer Wurm. If Kaya has an opinion on the matter, no one has heard he speak or or attempt to communicate it in any way. But day after day, Baldur sits with her, searching for his once friend and student ...

Too much free time = more stuff. Some of it from the Homebrew thread that's somewhere in the General forum. Don't forget to check out Zyrael's Belarat the Scorchd Soul (http://privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?t=21739).
I try to keep stuff balanced, but often get too caught up in what I'm trying to do, so I appreciate any feedback anyone has.

Ruin Swarm
Circle Unit
Throughout history, the Circle Orboros has used various methods to control the advance of civilized society. Sometimes this is as simple as setting a few fires in the right place. Sometimes it requires the releasing of terrifying plagues into cramped cities. And sometimes it requires destruction. When the growth of the races of Immoren grows too great, the Ruin Swarms are summoned.
Most people live out their lives unaware of just how badly the various sentient races of Caen are outnumbered by the creatures of the land. Rats alone infest every city in numbers that would make most men?s eyes boggle. But the insects outnumber the rats by an amount that is beyond counting. When summoned into a single force, nothing can stop them. Fields are stripped bare, livestock eaten and driven mad with stings, even armored men stand little chance against the swarms. They clog mouths and noses with their dead, for what is ten dead insects? 100? 1000? The swarms are without number, and all shall be consumed in their path.
However, the Druids are aware of their all-consuming nature, and are careful to only summoned the full swarm when no other option is possible. The full swarm would surely consume them as well as their enemies. Smaller groups however, can easily be used to distract opponents and drive off lightly armored foes.

The Urdr Sisters
Circle Tharn Bloodweaver Character Unit
Some time ago, three girls were born to a Tharn chieftain. This was before the lifting of the curse, so to have even one successful birthing was cause for celebration. Twins were almost unheard of. But these were triplets, and such an event had never been recorded in all of Tharn history. It was thus declared that his daughters had been chosen by the Devourer. They were given to the Bloodweaver priestesses to be trained from birth. The girls were truly chosen, for their talents quickly showed themselves, and they are widely known and respected among the various clans for their skill and wisdom. As the Circle rises to meet the growing threats from civilization, the Sisters run with them. Bringing their blades to bare against the men and beasts that threaten the Devourer.
As the youngest of the three, it is Skuld's duty to oversee the birthing and naming of Tharn children. While in the past she has had little work, the recent removal of the curse upon the Tharn has created an influx of new children, and for the first time in many years their villages echo with the cries and laughter of children. It is also her duty to oversee the rituals for when a child has reached adulthood. In battle her blade pierces flesh and magic with equal ease, tasting her opponents blood. With their blood she can use it to allow her sisters to follow the path of her blade, ensuring that they shall strike true.
The middle sister, Verthandi is the most skilled and knowledgable Bloodweaver in the last century. She has discovered old rituals to the Devourer Wurm that have made her and her sisters faster and stronger. She leads many of the annual rituals in his honor, and she has trained many of the Bloodweaver cabals who fight alongside the armies of the Circle Orboros. In battle her mastery of the Bloodweaver arts is clear. Her foes blood boils as soon as her blade touches it, causing her foes to explode in a violent eruption, while her strange runes and sigils protect her and her sisters from such blasts as well as the attacks of the enemy.
The eldest sister, Urd's duty is to oversee the funerary rituals of the Tharn. As the Tharn tend to lead short brutal lives, her task is an important one. For as their power is granted by the Devourer Wurm, she must make sure that it is returned to him. She is also tasked with making sure people perish at the proper time, and has various herbs that can cause death within moments or even extend ones life. In battle her blade is the last that cuts. Those touched by it feel no pain as they die, but rather drift into sleep. However, the Undead are an abomination, and her blade severs their connection to life ruthlessly.

I can never resist a homebrew once someones good ideas inspire me. Circle is probably the faction I'm weakest at (And that's saying a lot!) but I'll give it a whirl.
One of Kruegers growing band of followers, Loasch's bitterness towards the Omnipotents for their snubbing of his abilities has festered as much as the putrid swamps and wetlands he has been assigned to 'protect' since his coming to the Circle. While it is true that his mastery of the elements is not as powerful as Baldurs or the Stormlords, Krueger has found ways of twisting Loasch's resentment to his own ends. Soon the great riverfront cities of Immoren may find themselves on the frontlines of an unseen war.

Kaya having Avatar of Slaughter bothers me, that is one of Old Witch's unique and personal spells. Also, she should be an Abomination according to the description.
Reasonable complaints, although the Terror and Abomination difference isn't so great that I prefer one way or another. I decided to give her AoS since to me Kaya2 is so similar to the Old Witch in many ways. This version simply reflects a different side of the Witch. Claws, Terror (or Abomination), abilities that disrupt the enemy - AoS just seemed like a good fit.

Incorporeal models are immune to continuus effects anyway. The intent was to make it clear that AOE's and Sprays only do damage. Secondary effects, such as knockdown, are still ignored. I'll admit that the sentance isn't strictly necessary, and if it's too confusing it can be removed.

Ah, well here comes a solo:
Storm-Possessed Druid
Spd 6, Str 7, Mat 7, Rat 4, Def 13, Arm 14, Cmd 8, Point cost 3.
Fearless, Immune to Lightning, Fire and Cold, Pathfinder, 8 damage boxes, medium base.
Magic Ability [7]
- Arc Lightning (As Orin Midwinter)
- Aura of Electricity: Center a 3" AoE on this model. The AoE stays centered on this model. Every enemy model within the AoE when it is put into play suffer a pow 10 electricial damage roll. Enemy models that enter or end their activation inside the AoE take a pow 10 electricial damage roll. Aura of Electricity stays in play for one round.
Weapons:
Storm Claw: Pow 6. Electo leap. Damage type: Electricity.
Imagine a long blackcladdish robe that crackles with electricity inside. I want more medium base solos to Circle and I want more lightning theme and this is my take on those two ;) I also didn't want to step on Cygnars toes with the electric theme.
Now that I have relieved me from my creative urge, I try to comment some earlier stuff.
First off, Gorgantur. Cool as hell. Oh my, did I just create some sort of a paradox? :D But I'm a bit worried... even for 13 points it seems a bit too good. I mean it supports itself in every way and the results with Goraxs' animus are just... devastating. But I guess with 17 points invested results should be... :P
But my suggestions to tone it down a bit: Corrosive Sludge: Get rid of Spray, change to pow 16. I mean, with Rampage this guy has enough "remove troopers" -ability.
Also, burrow makes Gorgandur next to immune to... anything except the enemy running down and filling the burrow area completely. Yes, with 13 point model you just might want to do that... but anyway, consider dropping arm to 17 and if you want to say this guy is a biggie, give a few damage boxes more.
Then, Great Eagle. Perfect, just perfect. Some days ago I thought of an Extender Control Range -light warbeast, too... I might just as well post it here for compare, though I suspect yours is better:
Lynx (Well, needs a bit cooler name, though...)
Spd 6, Str 8, Mat 6, Rat 4, Def 14, Arm 15, Cmd 6, Fur 3, Thr 9. Point cost: 5.
Pathfinder, Prowl, Hunter
Mind 7, Body 7, Spirit 8. (22 total)
Extended Control Range: When checking to see if the controlling warlock can force this model or leach or reave from this model or use it's animus, double the area.
Animus:
Powerful Attack: Rng 6, cost 2. Affected model can spend or force 1 fury point to have both it's attack roll and damage roll boosted.
Weapons:
Claws [2x, left & right], pow 4. (P+S 12)
So, it's a CAT-ASSASSIN! :D That fails quite miserably all the time but has a nice animus that rivals Gorax's but isn't strictly better except on costructs that aren't known for their melee prowess anyway...
Ruin swarm... weird. As-they-are they're pretty bad... But, for example, with Krueger and lightning tendrils... guided reach thresher with lightning leaps? Yes please! Though... well... need to be careful with a unit of 360-degree reach thresherers :P

Uh, CMD-stat reducing effects are a definite no-no under current rules. It messes up with unit coherency too badly. However, you could edit that into giving that much penalty to CMD-checks? Such a change would make this unit rather nice :)

That's the point though. Charging in would reduce the command of the leader and force you to pack tightly or use attacks from the unit. I see it as a perfectly fine and usable tactic.
And penalty to command checks is pointless as well. There's no real penalty for failing one anymore so why bother?

What he means is that Privateer removed ALL abilities that affected the CMD stat, since it had ugly affects when combined with the new unit coherency rules.
Thus having an ability that gives a CMD penalty (especially such a heavy one) is somewhat ... Actually, I'm not sure what word goes best there. Unreasonable? Unlikely? Not balanced?
