I am a little late getting to the MKII party, but got three battles in against Legion last night, and I struggled.
I won't bore everyone with Battle reports, but my games were:
Morvahna vs. eLylyth
Krueger vs. Vayl
Kromac vs, Ryas
My opponents list didn't vary too much basically containing combinations of:
Double Seraph
Typhon
Carnivean
1-2 Shredders
1-2 Forsaken
2 Death Stalkers
Full Raptors
One of my biggest problems was I was finding it very hard to keep my Sentry Stone and Shifting Stones on the table. I had wanted the Sentry Stone to be a teleport and a phase away from being able to pull fury from my opponents models, but that would inevitably have me within the Seraph's 17 inch Threat range (slip stream + move + 10 inch range on strafe). What are people doing to protect their stones?
I was also finding infantry a subpar choice in my games. Seraphs under Vayl's Incite shredded my infantry with little hope, in every game double Death Stalkers earned their 4 points back with no recourse to trees or cover to protect my infantry. My most effective use for infantry was Tharn Ravagers with Morvahna's Revivfy on them to give them a little durability. Is the meta against Legion to go a little more Beast heavy?
I'll echo other people's thoughts on Kromac being a little boring. I spent the entire game in Beast form just whipping around Bounding, Arcane Killer, and Tracker on my beasts as his spell list wasn't doing much.
I think Legion has always been a tough fight, and that hasn't changed for me. I am wondering for those who have success, what works in MKII and what should I look to avoid.
