View Full Version : Alternative Paladins
So, with the new harbinger tier list, it's now actually worthwhile to own more than 2 paladin minis(aside from Vilmon). I don't want just a bunch of duplicate-paladins though.
I have the IK paladin(forgot his name, massive sword), so with the paladin and variant paladins, that's 3 unique paladins, but I want at least two more. At this point I don't mind going outside of the IK range, so long as the models really fit the paladin appearance. Also, in particular, I'd like at least one female paladin.
Any ideas?

I switched the shields from the IK Paladin and the PoM Paladin to give them slightly diffent looks. Don't know if that is enough difference for you but it does distinguish them from one another.

Infinity has some Pan Oceana models that are very paladin like. A little more tech, but swapping parts, etc. could work. Also you could look at some of the old Confrontation "Lions" (or something like that).
None of them would be tournament legal but you may be able to find some bits for shield swaps, sword swaps, etc.

My suggestion:
Sir thomas from Reaper miniatures.

Cool. I'm looking through the reapers range and will probably find enough to chop one up and use it with another PP model to make a paladin.

I don't own one, but it looks like the variant could be given a "parrying with sword" pose with some very minor modifications.
Point the sword tip-down and see how that grabs you.
POW
POW(alt)
POW(alt parrying)
IK POW
Female paladin...
Okay. I'm thinking the bits store for this one, start with eFeora's body, then reach for the POW shield and "cloak", as well as the POW(alt) sword. That'll make the model clearly recognizable as a POW model, and should even get you tournament legality. You may or may not have to get creative on the legs and left arm, depending on how feminine you want the rest of your plate mail to look.
EDIT: Maybe Precursor knight 3's body for legs? It's a chick, at least.
