I recently started a Retribution army, but wanted it to look completely differen't from my red/white/grey Khador. I ended up with this colorscheme:

I haven't got much experience in taking pictures of miniatures, and before yesterday I've never put them on the internet. Comments are welcome!

I like! I like how his eyes remind me of a comic book character. I couldn't tell you which one, just that it looks like that to me.
Well done overall!

The eyes made me think - Garryth, Raccoon of Retribution!
But don't worry, I love Raccoons :p I actually like it, it's pretty unique.

Good scheme, and I love the (I think) leaves on the base!

Might you be thinking of Dr. Manhattan? The blue armor really seals the deal for it I think.
I like it, just as long as you do everyone's eyes like that, or else you may end up with a shattered theme.

Looks like he's somehow the child of Wolverine and Deadpool ;)

I like the detailing of the blades - any chance of a shot from the opposite angle to see the work there?

Deadpool was my first thought too on the comic book eyes.

Thanks for the compliments guys! `Here are some other pictures. The models aren't completely finished and need a touch-up before I seal them.

I understand what you mean. Now I think of it they look like a comicbook character drawn by Chris Bachalo.

I was planning on doing all of the eyes like this. I always liked the blank stare of completely white eyes, and the black around the eyes makes for a strong contrast.

I like that thought, 'cause Deadpool is one of my favorite Marvel characters (and a badass assassin! garryth aproves of the comparisson :D)

I tried to make a close-up, but the camera refuses to make sharp pictures (unless you want to see a very sharp background, that is)

I really dislike the original head of the Friffon (as a matter of fact, I hate all the myrmidion-heads), so I customzed it to my liking. I this way it gives the jack more of a "face".

I do see some Dr. Manhattan. It's a good thing Garryth's elf junk is covered up by his tunic. No one wants to see elf wang. (IT DIDN'T GET CENSORED!)

I don't see Chris Bachalo, of course I haven't read any comics he's drawn since the Age Of Apocalypse Generation Next, so maybe his art has changed slightly in the....fourteen or fifteen years that has been.
Deadpool is a good comparison.
I really do like the raccoon eyes and no pupils on them. I approve.

Thanks for the extra pics - I really like the way the tan amd teal work with each other. The pink glow in the crease of the armor along the shoulder works well :)
The 2nd model is very nicely executed (and likely executes very nicely).
and i just noticed your bases!! Very nice autumn look, where did you get the mini-leaves? Skullcraft? If so, which set did you use? I'm still just using the plain 'natural' leaves and have been debating trying some of the dyed types ;)

Chris Bachalo's style has evolved dramatically since Generation X. You should do a quick google on his name to see what I mean. More manga influenced, but in a good way. He's still one of my all-time favorites.
As for the leaves, they are from Skullcraft like you already guessed. I really like the feary-mix and blood-mix, but I used the autumn-mix for these bases because of the nice contrast with the Meridius Blue on the figures.

Excellent work. Gives me some ideas for my newly purchased Retribution. Many thanks.

I finished my first unit and my first Myrmidon, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. When I first saw the Retribution Jacks it definitely wasn't love on first sight, but the little sucker has grown on me.

I use this one as a proxy for Narn, but the scale is just a bit off. He's probably the same size as Kell Bailoch. The colors ara also a bit different, but that's because I painted him before I settled on my final colorscheme for my Retribution.

The contrasting blues are nice, and they go very well with the khaki cloaks. Awesome bases.
I'm not crazy about the purple/pink color in the recesses, but for the life of me I couldn't say what I think would go better with that aquamarine. I'd have gone with an ivory or a really light gray, just for not knowing what else to do with it.
If you like the effect, stay with it. They are definitely eye-catching.

So I finally managed to finish some of my Retribution stuff. I'm quite happy with how they turned out, especially the red hair. I would have made more redheads but I was afraif that would be too much.

YES! Or Dr. Manhattan, as pointed out. I really like. I feel the MHSF would have benefitted from their black eyes being turned into Bandit masks. Why? Because it'd be cool, that's why.

Because of my time-consuming study I forgot to upload new pictures of additions to my Retribution army. Feel free to comment!

Rahn; not to happy with the picture. He looks nicer IRL.

Phoenix (multi-jack); I customized that uglu head just like I did with the light jack and I'm really happy with how he turned out.
