Just checking, but I beleive a battlegroup is the warcaster and the 'jacks controlled by that caster. That being said, I assume then that any marshalled 'jack or jack run by the journeyman warcaster would be in a seperate battlegroup. This means that abilities like Kraye's Iron Horse would NOT apply to the marshalled and Jr. controlled 'jacks, correct?

Yes, I know this is a rules question, but I asked in the Cygnar community because of the uniqueness of our journeyman warcaster.

That's correct. It states in the rules that a battlegroup consists of the warcaster and the jacks under his or her command and adds that other units support that battlegroup. So the Journeyman and Jack Marshals with their Jacks are their own battlegroup.

So yes, Kraye's Iron Horse will not be granted to those units run by a Journeyman or a Jack Marshal.

I'm far from the final word on this, but that's what the rules seem to be.

Yes. That's the way it's always been. So you also can't spend a warcaster's warjack points on marshaled or Jr'ed warjacks.

On the topic of battlegroups. Since Jr. has the battlegroup ability can he/she have more than one jack?

He can have any number of jacks under him. But can only allocated 3 focus.

Yeah, but Hunters need only maybe a focus a piece to boost damage against say, Khador jacks, if they get an aiming bonus. Good thing to know.

Only problem is JWC control area of 6" and up to 12" with Hunters ability. With 2 Hunters I like to split them up a bit. If you plan on just double tapping everything with boosted damage, I say go for it.

With pstryker and earthquake you could ruin anybody's day, especially med and large based warcasters and warlocks.

Unless i'm missing somthing, Jack Marshalls don't have a battlegroup. They just control up to two warjacks. I don't think that's actually relevent to any rules at the moment, but it may be in the future.

Backlash spell - Gives damage to the controller of a jack that is part of a battlegroup, so doesn't affect a Jack Marshal if the jack he is marshalling is hit...
