Ok so my Borka 50pt list has emerged as a solid front runner candidate and I have spent weeks going over different possibilities for my second list for the 2day tournament I have coming up on 8th May and I think I have found the list I want to run with:
Grissel Bloodsong (-5)
>> Mulg the Ancient (12)
>> Earthborn Dire Troll (10)
>> Pyre Troll (5)
5 Long Riders (11)
6 Kriel Warriors (4)
>> Standard and Piper (2)
>> 3 Caber Throwers (3)
Krielstone Bearer and 5 Scribes (4)
>> Stone Scribe Elder (1)
Stone Scribe Chronicler (2)
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (1)
The Plan
Designed primarily around the ability to dish out heavy firepower anywhere its needed, the Caber Throwers are easily capable of two POW18 MAT7 attacks each with auto knockdown against large bases, the Long Riders are similarly capable of clearing large groups of infantry, while the EBDT and Mulg are easily capable of crushing heavies with attacks to spare and thanks to Hallowed Avenger Mulg serves as a deterrent against charging his screening infantry.
More so than my Borka list however, this one is built around being able to take and hold scenario objectives such as Mosh Pit and No Man's Land thanks to the extreme mobility granted by Grissel's feat.
