First 25 Point Searforge List

Hey all,

So I got in my first 25 pt game last night with Searforge, and was very happy with how it performed. Here's what I had:

Gorten
- Driller
- Gunner
- Gunner
- Gunner
Herne & Jonne
Horgenhold Forge Guard (9 Grunts + Officer)
Thor Steinhammer
- Blaster

24/25 pts

I think I realized that I needed the Blaster on Gorten to be able to get that point of focus for Powerful Shot, and the Gunner could do very well under Thor so I should have reversed those two. I wasn't keen on having H&J advance to get those 3 AOE's out, but I could have kept them safer behind the advancing Forge Guard who have ranked attacks.

It was a really fun game, even though I lost when Kraye charged Gorten, but that happens when you don't finish a Caster off after your Feat turn. :)

I am thinking of growing the list and running the following for an upcoming 35 pt list:

Gorten
- Blaster
- Gunner
- Gunner
- Driller
Horgenhold Forge Guard Max Unit
Herne & Jonne
Thor
- Avalancher
Gudrun
Lord Rockbottom

I'm not sure that Rockbottom and Gudrun are a good fit. What's your angle with them?

Thanks for the response.

Gudrun was to be used as a throw away flanker, I have never used him but get the impression he can take out infantry or solo\s if you send him off on his own?

Rockbottom is there to make sure Thor's command checks pass, he would basicall stay with Thor, make sure he gets his Tune Up each turn, and be a bodyguard of sorts as well in case someone gets to Thor.

Any other suggestion to make it better? I'm pretty open at this point, and willing to try out some different options.

just a thought would be to have 2 jacks on thor it would free up some focus on gorten. I would suggest droping a gunner down to him. You can drive both jacks at once and still give the one you dont tune up a JM boost to hit or damage.

also a bokur glued to thor would make a better bodyguard imo but that is up to you.

I have been getting a huge amount of mileage out of my Highsheilds with their UA.
I highly recemend them maxed out with their UA.

I am also loving the Basher. I suggest trying it out. They have replaced my Drillers in my lists at the moment.
