Mordikaar
Cyclops Brute
Titan Gladiator
Cataphract Arcuarii (min)
Paingiver Beast Handlers (min)
Praetorian Karax (min)
Praetorian Swordsmen (max /w UA)
Tyrant Commander & Standard Bearer
2 Void Spirits
I'm not looking for something to crush everyone under a bootheel, just something that could give most lists a run for it's money, both Hordes and Warmachine. I've used Mordikaar once I liked how he played with making units Undead and Tough with Hollow and Essence Blast is fun too for a surprise. I love how he makes Void Spirits that much better as well.
The only hang up I have with the list right now is I'm thinking of dropping the Karax for a Krea so when she has her Def buff on with Mord's feat it should let me throw things in people's faces and they can withstand some attacks back so I can counter punch with a good amount of things left.
Any thoughts on changes?

Only possible changes that come to my mind are :
A) drop Karax for Ancestral Guardian and a feralgeist
- OR -
2) drop Karax for an Agonizer and either Saxon, Orin, or an Extoller Soulward...
Either way, I like the list... It's got so many sharp pointy things, it's like staring at the backside of a porcupine !

I think I might try out the AG and Feralgiest inplace of the Karax. The extra protection from knockdown is a plus and the Feralgiest intrigues me. If only the reanimated warbeast could take advantage of Mordikaar's Voidlord ability, that would be awesome.
I'm trying to get a game in tomorrow, I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the reply.

So I had my first game with the above list with the AG and Feralgiest adjustment listed above. I played a Mosh Pit scenario against a Highborn Covenant merc list. It had the following:
Fiona the Black
Talon
Vanguard
Mule
Sea Dogs with 1 Riflemen
Taryn
Bokur guarding her
Devil Dogs (max)
with a Nomad they were jack marshalling
So for deployment I had one void spirit on each extreme flank, with the Swordsmen and Arcuarii in the center and everything else to the left of them. I was facing the Devil Dogs and the Nomad on my left, Taryn and the Bokur on the far right, while the Vanguard and Talon led the center with the Sea Dogs, Mule and Fiona following behind.
On my right flank, the Void Spirit hung out behind some woods hiding from Taryn and a good shot from one Arcuarii hit, dragged and killed the Bokur in one round. Then Taryn took revenge by killing the Void Spirit, to which Mordikaar killed her with a death blast. The left flank didn't fair so well, both the Feralgiest and other Void Spirit got shot by magic attacks from the Sea Dogs (I guess Fiona has the spell that can give a unit magic attacks). I was baited into charging the Nomad with the devil dogs behind so I think "Sure thing, I got safeguard on Gladdy so the Devil Dogs should do jack". I slam the Nomad 8" then decide to follow up. His turn he shot the AG dead then since Gladdy was so far ahead of everything I couldn't get safeguard up on him again. So after a hit from the Nomad, the Devil Dogs took down poor Gladdy. The less said about the left flank, the better. It was my fault for not sticking to the center.
So the center, I had my Arcuarii and Swordsmen engaged with his two jacks while the Mule was having a grand old time throwing around swordsmen with crit hitting shooting attacks. Even with the Swordsmen having Tough from Hollow, they were getting whittled down. After a failed slam attempt with the Brute on the Vanguard into Fiona, the swordsmen were all dead, and the Devil Dogs bearing down on me I had to come up with something so else the game was beyond lost.
On a gamble, I cast both Hollow and Ghost Walk on the last two Arcuarii and moved them into melee range with Fiona. Even with the boosted to hit rolls from Void Lord, only one hit (in hindsight I was using their RAT of 5 to attack in melee, not their MAT of 7), but took her down to about 6 health left (bless you Weapon Master). Then it was the Tyrant's turn. He charged into Fiona...and missed. From then on, the Mercs were cleaning me up, killing the Arcuarii, Tyrant and Standard Bearer, and almost killing the Cyclops Brute. So in my last ditch effort, I Ghost Walked the Brute over to Fiona, and missed with both boosted attacks. Then Mordikaar died from Fiona smacking him alot after the Sea Dogs killed the Brute.
All in all it was an awesome game, and my opponent was patient with me looking up rules and stats so kudos to him. I am happy with the list, it could use more jack hitting power but I think with more practice I can work with what I have to a better result.

Important thing to note: Were you not using the "final" Hordes PDF? Void Lord no longer grants friendly faction Undead the boosted attacks. Only Void Spirits. There's also the small matter of his new Cull Soul and Hollow mechanics... :p

I was using the final update that is on this site. The last updates I've seen have been from Jan 29.

Well that's a kick in the pants. Why isn't this with the other updates on the Hordes section? That's annoying, I've been playing and planning purchases thinking if it's the last update there, it's the most recent.
