Widowmaker marksmen

Don't know if you all have seen this yet or not.

Operating independently, Khador's senior Widowmaker marksmen move
unobserved across the battlefield. The expert sharpshooters are equipped
with the prized Vanar Liberator rifle. The Liberator weighs a full
twenty pounds, nearly twice the weight of the standard hunting rifles
issued to Widowmaker units. Capable of tearing through plate armor,
Liberator rounds are as accurate as they are lethal in the hands of a
Widowmaker marksman. A player may field one Widowmaker Marksman for each warcaster in a Khador army.

Nice. I wonder what (if anything) they will bring to a standard Widowmaker unit...

My money is on them using the IK widowmaker model... It's pretty rad, and they've already got it made up, so why not?

heehee... plus I've already got one, so them reusing it would make me happy as a clam.

It's funny how so much stuff says it tearing through armour. I wonder if any of our new stuff will have Amour Piercing.

I can see a POW 6 AP rifle which would be great! Sniper would allow it to be good against infantry and would also allow you to pick the column for damage.

That would possibly be to powerful with eIrusk as we will basically have a Hunter when Fire for Effect is on it.

Do you mean the Rifleman? I never considered him a Widowmaker, but that would be awesome! I love that model. Although, he doesn't actually scream Widowmaker. Perhaps with a different paint job (the studio blue just is not Khador).

A friend of mine has used this model for ages as a widowmaker captain, so perhaps this is why I've always seen him as an uberlicious widowmaker. I'd also point out that PP seems to be reissuing their IK models in new versions, so it doesn't take much to convince me that this guy may be remade "bigger, faster, and stronger."

The IK model's rifle is not nearly as robost as the Widowmaker rifle and the copy implies that this guys weapon is a lot bigger than what a Widowmaker has now. I doubt it will be Lazar. Or at least, I hope not.

I almost want a prone model.

I had thought that real life snipers
Normaly worked either in pairs or alone.
I guess it would have been a team of snipers that got the pirates off that boat,
But I would rather see two man units with FA 2 than any other bells and whistles.
Can we get a solo sniper with more than one for an FA
No special rules just rat 7 range 14.

Not that I am complaining about an anti jack gun, I just want more veriety in snipers.

I like and own the IK model (Lazar Grigsov). Personally though, would really like to see another sculpt for the marksman.

Yeah, the rifle they are talking about is the equivilant of trying to shove depleted uranium rounds into a .50 caliber sniper rifle. Its pretty much the most powerful gun in IK with insane range. I have a feeling Khador is getting a High powered, accurate range man.

How about just a simple model that has a high powered rifle with ridiculous range?

No bells and whistles just Widow maker stats +1 RAT, and a 20"-25" POW 15 weapon.

I would love a widowmaker model that has increased range, POW, and Sniper.

My money's on 3 auto damage or armor piercing but that's pure speculation. I wouldn't think they would use an IK model since it doesn't talk about the individual person.

As for other abilities I think it will be in line with current widowmakers and perhaps give widowmakers a bonus or allow for higher FA.

My two cents anyway.

I can't wait for this guy to come out. And the Winter Guard Rifle Corps, if only to see if they're any good. Khador's ranged game may just be able to kick Cygnar's in the fricking face.
