I was wondering what you guys 'n gals thought the best Highlander list would be for the Trolls. If you dont know Highlander its:
1 'lock
1 'beast
1 unit (UA allowed)
1 solo.
I'm looking for a list thats competitive but yet not too hard on my wallet.
Thanks in advance!

I would have to say eMadrak with Mulg, max Kriel Warriors with UA and 3 Cabers and a Fell Caller.

Max Kriel warriors with UA and Cabers is good for bodies, Full Long Riders with Horthol as your solo would give you more bang.
With Kriels you'd want eMadrak in a heart beat.
With Long Riders you'd want Borka Kegslayer. Iron Fleshed Long Riders, windwall protection on Borka and Mulg + LRs for feat turn = goodnight sweet prince

eMadrak, Mulg, Min Kriels + 1 Caber, Fell Caller or Hero.
It all depends on getting Mulg to slaughter things fast with red-shirt Kriels to die for eMadrak.
Another shot with Mulg would be eDoomshaper, Mulg, Min Champs, and Fell Caller or Hero. At least there with eDoomie's feat you get a 10" charge out of Mulg, 12" if someone is stupid enough to shoot and damage him from a distance. And with Wild Aggression you get 7 boosted melee attacks in a turn.

Thanks allot for all the help guys! But what if i cant get Mulg? should i use EBDT instead? or maybe even the mauler? And is eMadrik that much different/better from his original self?

I played in a Highlander tournament not too long ago. My list was:
Borka Kegslayer
Mulg
Krielstone Bearer (full unit)
+ Stone Scribe Elder
Champion Hero
It was a really ugly list as Borka was pretty much immune to damn near everything most enemies could throw at him. He could not be shot aside from magic attacks, he could not be knocked down due to being drunk, he is immune to cold, and the krielstone can give immunity to continuous effects - such as fire.
I shut down a lot of nastier assassinations (which is how Highlander games usually end.) Even normal attacks are tough since Borka was generally def-16 with armor 21 under the krielstone - and Mulg would beat the tar out of anyone that did manage to hurt Borka.
In addition, Mulg's animus allowed me to prevent any enemy spell-casting near either Mulg or Borka. The list allowed me to heavily shut down most opponents while trundling towards them and smashing them in the face.
The Hero worked well as a sacrificial model that could inflict serious damage to an enemy unit in a suicide charge. The Kriel Stone scribes worked well as both a utility and an attack unit (they are not that bad in combat). Mulg made short work of any enemy heavy on the table.
It was simply ugly. I plowed through pretty much every list I fought with ease. The only loss happened due to a scenario that required holding multiple control points - which we all learned was a fairly poor scenario for a Highlander tournament.

The Mauler is never a bad choice. He is our go-to beatstick and excels at his job, especially if you can get him to charge the enemy jack/beast before they can charge you. Grab & Smash chain attack is great.
Earthborne is very effective against Jacks because of his ability to use the PoW of their weapon to regularly hit at PoW 18+ without external boosts, and if he's in the right terrain, is very good at getting in the first punch.
Epic Madrak is VERY different from Primal. For one, Grim Salvation is not optional. If Madrak is damaged and you have a Trollkin warrior model within 1" of him, that warrior model is removed from play (by Madrak's axe) to prevent Madrak from taking damage. You can't even choose to transfer the damage to keep from killing your own people. His feat is awesome, especially with Mulg. 1. Charge into the enemy with Mulg. 2. Charge in with eMadrak. 3. Pop feat, anything within Reach gets hit again. And that doesn't even cover Rathrok's Awakening and Tide of Death, or his spell list. eMadrak can be extremely strong, but taking advantage of his abilities can require a significantly different playstyle than pMadrak, and get use to sacrificing lots of warriors to Rathrok in order to keep eMadrak alive.
Cannibalbob is right about the Borka list. At that small a list, pretty much everything can stay in the Wind Wall bubble, so the only ranged attack that'll be able to hit would be something with a magical attack that would NOT want Mulg to smack them in the face for it.
