If you haven't read it yet, go here (http://privateerpress.com/community/privateer-insider/insider-5/03/2010-doug-seacat).
Doug touches on what's going on with several of our favorite Mercs, and alludes to the fact that we might see Gorten Grundback in the FoW: Cryx book.
Definitely worth the read.

I like the nod to Alexia and Sam. What I'd like to know is what's going on with Rhupert or Gorman. Those poor guys have been around forever, with nary a word said about them (Though Rhupert did have that pretty great intro to Prime Mk II).

Needs to be more stories about Gorman.

What I want to know is... what the heck is Cryx doing around Hellspass? That's bordering on the northern half of Khador, waaaay north of Korsk, Vladovar, and other normal points of interest.
I suppose that with Legion camped out in Rhulic territory, Cryx is nosing around the area to try and find out information on them... but it definitely seems odd for the undead empire to be that far north.
Looks like Rhul's going to get dragged into the story, despite their efforts to stay behind the scenes...

I thought Cryx was there to get Nyssor back from Kahdor hands!

The hellpass stuff probably will tie into 'The Second Incident' scenario that was released in the most recent No Quarter. Remember that Gorten was in charge of the defense of the Rhulic towns when the Legion came knocking and asking for all of their flesh and blood to make new Dragon Spawn. I expect Gorten will have made it out, trailing civilians along behind him as he runs for dear life from the Legion.
Of course, Cryx has forces in the area - probably Venethrax, all things considered - who may end up coming to the 'defense' of the dwarves. Leaving Gorten to high tail it out of there while the dragon spawn and undead throw down.

I'm more interested in this fellow and any possible new ways to play Sear Forge lists should Rhulic spies and scouts start showing up.

I'm pretty sure Jhord appeared in the NQ #29, or at least was mentioned by Gorten. So while I don't really expect him to be showing up as a model in the near future, he is our first look deeper into the politics of Rhul...
One thing that I was musing over... since there are, I believe, three leagues this year, the last league will most likely have fiction for the four factions that haven't yet appeared in any -- Mercs, Legion, Protectorate, and Cygnar.
Mercs/Legion would seem to suggest a follow-up to the NQ #29 materials, and that could possibly even be close enough to Rhul's southern border that the Protectorate and Llaelese resistance could be involved on the other side of it... although no clue how Cygnar might be involved, if at all. XD

First look? Have you not read Seacat's shortstory, Stone and Blood? It's awesome, especially if you want a look at some dwarven espionage :)

But yeah, we seriously need some more stuff on the Glomring

I assume Venathrax goes where the blight is.

I'm quite certain you have Gorten, destroyer of the Deathjack, breaker of the Siege of Fellig, confused with some other bloke who "runs for dear life" from blighters.
Quite certain.

Still hopes for a day when privateer gives him an epic version. Gorten has accomplished a hell of a lot more than some faction casters that have epics.

Quite certain. Is there a Cygnarian caster that sounds like Gorten? I mean "high tailing it?".

Well... trailing civilians along in front of him...
Not much point in getting the civvies out if he doesn't bother to rearguard.

If by retreating you mean strolling amiable acting as a rearguard for Rhul folk civvies as his Avalancher and gunbunnies are giving fire support even as Bashers and Drillers reduce Everblighters to carne picada...then yes, he is retreating.

It only took 2 years, but he has resurfaced! I really want to see this guy on the table as a solo. The notion of a dwarf rogue is super cool to me. Maybe he could look something like this dude:

Please don't ressurect old thread for the reasons discussed here (http://privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?108060-Why-is-thread-necro-bad).
Please start a new thread so your idea can get the attention it deserves, rather than get lost amid posts about thread necro.
