New Forums deserve new topics & newly painted models!

Here's a few shots of my most recent work. Some WIP shots of the War Dog, as well as the final version. Also I finally got around to finishing up the Ma'am Hunter and Yuri. Lastly, there are a few shots of my best buddy Drago. I used links as they're much easier to deal with and don't clog up the pages (thus making it easier for updates 8).

I hope you enjoy them!

The Group Shot!

Very nice army, but all I can think of after seeing your title is:

@ captainspud: Wow man, I just checked your model gallery and must say your conversions are absolutely amazing! They're definitely inspiring, and you've certainly caught the "flavor" of Cygnar. Thumbs up man!

I just got it yesterday!

Now I need a camera, since mine decided to break on me.

Would you mind sharing which browns you used to do the markings on the wardog? My fiancee has a super friendly rottweiler mix and I figured I'd paint a wardog in similar markings as a joke. :)

Sure man! I didn't wtire down the exact formula, but I started with a Cathan Brown (GW Foundation), then I washed the entire model with badab black (GW Wash). After that I restarted the brown with Cathan Brown, and began sucessive layers with snakebite leather (starting with a drop of Cathan Brown & Snake Bite, then Snake Bite, then Snake Bite & Bleached Bone). After all of this I washes the brown areas with a light wash of Gryhonne Sepia to tie it all in.

Mmm... and I also use Testors Gloss & Matt sprays. I've noticed that these sprays add a depth to the models that they do not ordinarily have. Perhaps I'm just odd though. You decide! haahaa

Excellent. Thank you very much. :)

Ya man no worries... If you're quick about it you can even use the same "drops" of paint on the pallete. IE I didn't actually restart each layer with a new mix, but kept adding new lighter colors to the previous mix.

Just play it by ear and see what works. Always use an offwhite to lighten your mix because it looks a little more natural and less "stark" compared to the previous layer.
