View Full Version : Frozen Glue

So my friends and I share 1 bottle of glue between us. We left it in the car during a trip to our local friendly game store for a few games of Magic. (Warmachine is tomorrow). Now....the glue is frozen. Any ideas on how to safely thaw this out? I have a brand new model screaming to be based and painted.

Probably just leave it on a table in a kitchen or other room temperature room with the cap loose and let it thaw out naturally. Can't say I've ever heard of that happening.

Throw it out. Once glues, caulking and adhesives freeze their chemical makeup change and the results can vary. Super glue can become gummy and never cure right. Good Luck.

If it is real frozen it's broken in some kind. But give it a try. Let it warm up and test glue some pieces (not your brand new mini).
I always store my glue inside the fridge so none of the solvent can evaporating. Before usage I will let get them back to room toomperature. Works fine for me, but fridges don't freeze glue :)

i keep mine in the freezer and never had any problems with it... paint on the other hand is very expensive to replace. ( i did the same thing left it sit in the car for a long weekend of snowboarding and it all froze solid :( )

I once had a bowling ball freeze in the trunk of the car once. It was never the same again, but I think it worked even better.

May I suggest getting a new bottle. Surely that is better than figuring out how to deal with a frzen one, no?
