Has anyone tried using the extra arms from the plastic kit to convert spare old model kits? I have a plethora of metal jacks and could easily spare one of my (for example) 4 juggies to become a decimator, if the arms fit.

Since neither of the Decimator's arms ends in a fist, it might not look bad, though the way the plastic arms attach is very different so it'd probably take some work.

I'll see about giving it a go. My 4th Juggy (got it froma friend used) is missing the head and one arm anyways...
The Decimator arms are going to look big on a classic metal Juggy chassis, as obviously the new plastic kit is so much bigger and the Decimator arms are hardly small on that.
The joints will be the problem, you may find it easiest to remove the plastic pistons and their ''cowling'' from the elbow of the arm and just fashion your own out of brass rod and tubing, basically use two long pins and put a sleeve of tube in the mid section to give the piston look, with the added bonus of it being a very strong joint.
It's what I plan to do for my Decimator (eventually), as I'm not keen on the new shape of the plastic chassis and don't want a Decimator that doesn't match my metal models. At the end of the day the basic chassis design is the same ''type'', it's the arms that denote the specific jack type. So with a bit of work on the joints it should be good.
Be sure to post pics.

Wow, I was wondering about this just today, and out of the blue, there's a thread discussing it! I am also not a fan of the plastic sculpt, and was wondering about using a metal body for the Decimator. However, I'm not a fan of the plastic arms either - they're too tall for my tastes. I'd like to redo them, but don't really know where to start.
What do you guys think?
Something else I'd been thinking about...
Buzzsaw isn't a problem, there are plenty of options for that, from the merc jack with a similar weapon, to 40k Ork bits.
Bit of conversion, jobs a good un.
Gun is more of a challenge though, as you'd have to find something half way suitable, and convert it to look like the Decimators gun, with the rebolving chamber and what not.
I shall continue scouring t'internet for some ideas.
