Here is my old river town table. It was meant to be Laelese, so I might need to add some Khador emplacements and fortifications now.

Looks good. How do you find it plays? Do gunlines shoot up all the melee forces trying to get over the bridge?

The bridges often end up being rather bloody melee fields. The river is 12" wide so few ranged weapons can shoot very far across it. Usually ranged troops get one clear volley before melee troops can cross the bridge. Lots of warjack throws into the river and that sort of thing.
The board can be broken into three pieces (a triangle, a rectangle and yes! even a Rhombus! (actually an irregular pentagon)) The idea is the river can be split into a narrow tributary/fork with an island, or the board can be turned into a harbour and dock. It all sits on a regular 6x4 board painted blue with a gloss varnish for water. The rearrangable shapes help stop every game being "a bridge too far".

What did you use for cobblestone streets?
I like all the little details you have on your board. Good job!
I'd like to suggest you paint in the windows of the second floor factory building in post 11.

The cobblestones are based on some christmas diarama mat I picked up cheap at the New Year sales. It only cover 1x1.5 ft so I used it on the stone bridge, but took a latex mold of it. I then brushed mold with a plaster/Black Paint/PVA glue mix, then pressed it on to the game board. When dry, the latex peels off and leaves a grey cobblestone texture behind (with a few airbubbles as potholes). I gave it a quick black wash to make it stand out, and that was it. Of course I only had 1sq.Ft of mold to use, so it took about 12 repeats to cover the roads of the table.

Wow, that looks fantastic!
I really love tables like this with chokepoints here and there. I feel like it adds some more tactical value to the battle. My strategy? Long Gunners along the edge of the river, Magnus casts Snipe, 18 inches of doom! Then Long Gunners die once something gets across a bridge.

A devastator is a good bridge clearer, and an Uhlan charge is pretty effective.
