I love the Venator Reiver models and the idea that they are really looked down on by the rest of skorne. I have the following list which I have put together. Is there anything people can suggest to go with it which might be better.
Mordikaar
-Savage
-Krea
-Drake
-Cannoneer
10 Venator Reivers
10 Venator Reivers
10 Venator Reivers
Extoller Soulward
Void Spirit
Void Spirit
I am not really willing to get rid of the venator Reivers, but everything else is up for grabs, but remember that it is a ranged list. I thought Mordikaar is good due to the def buff, Ghostly, and poltergeist, but I am open to others.

Add a couple of Venator Catapults? Maybe some Arcuarii?
I'm serious. I mean, since this is evidently not an exercise in super-competitive list building, why not go absolutely OTT with Skorne's crappiest ranged units? Led by none other than Void Seer Mordikaar!
Actually, it could be fun.

I would say drop the savage and throw in a brute for some added caster protection or replace it with a pult and min beast handlers.

I did wonder about the catapult but I am not sure I like it. I was reading through some of warlocks and Xerxis seems quite a good fit for his Martial Discipline, Orders and Defenders Ward. I am a little bit worried about the medium base though. Having said that he is a pretty good beat stick when it comes down to it. What do people think, Mordikaar or Xerxis?
Noted about the brute, I was thinking I might need the savage for some combat ability, and future sight is very cool with the other beasts, but maybe shield guard is what I need.
The Krea, Drake (though I like the idea of the spray), Savage/Brute and soulward are all up for changes. I thought the soulward would be good for cannoneer, though I would happily get rid of him. Void spirits can go as well if it is not Mordikaar.

Call me crazy but i would say, pick Xerxis for a ranged list. Why Xerxis?
- Give him a Cataphract Cetrati unit + Krea and you have a solid frontline that protects the rest. (DEF 16 ARM 24 vs ranged attacks / DEF 14 ARM 22 vs melee attack; and will act as melee back-up, your current list has many bad matchups).
- Martial Discipline, will give you all the freedom you need. His command abilities will give you some extra movement to shoot 2"further.
- Inhospitable Ground, will slow-down all none pathfinder models..
- Fury + Feat, will turn the Venators into killing machines in melee.
2x Gladiator for hard targets and 2x Tormentor for swarms. Never rely on shooty in a Skorne army we are not Cygnar.
Tyrant Xerxis 50pts
-Basilisk Krea
-Titan Gladiator
-Titan Gladiator
Cataphract Cetrati (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Paingiver Beast Handlers (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Venators Reivers (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Venators Reivers (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Bloodrunner Master Tormentor

I am liking the list. I might have to see if I can get the third unit of Venators in there, but I am happy to have a couple of Gladiators, really nice models. While I know Skorne are not a ranged army I was thinking of a nice theme. Imagine a warlock a bit out of favour with the command, he gets dumped with some Venator Reivers and a couple of beasts and is told to make do. He takes his force and forges an elite band out of it. other commanders dont like it, but he gets the job done. Kind of an outcast warband. I just wanted to know if there other models which would compliment the Venators. I like the idea of a Cetrati unit for protection up front, and the paingivers are always good.

I think Zaal is an excellent choice for a ranged army. I ran this at 35 and it did very well to the point that it surprised me.
Zaal +5
Cannoneer 9
Shaman 5
Drake 4
AG 3
AG 3
Arcuarii (min) 6
Venators (min) 5
Extoller 2
Beast Handlers (max) 3
Now go with me here. I know Zaals feat is melee oriented but that's the beauty of this list. Use all the range and when they think they are good after they've closed in, pop feat, and nail them with the bonuses to damage and attack. It's a great tactic. I kept Inviolable Resolve on the Arcuarii and last stand on the Venators (kind of made them into knight errants).
