So after a long hiatus in which I only played WM, I'm finally ready again to start up on my big blue friends. I've got a list concept going for MkII and thought I'd bounce it off of you guys for ideas. Please Keep in mind that one of my primary opponents plays Legion and LOVES using Typhon.

My question is, I have the pyre troll in there to make key units immune to fire when typhon comes roaring up to me (Borka and Horthol specifically.) But since I have the +2 buff from the pyre, does the mauler become redundant? Would I be better served dropping him for an axer and a fell caller? Or is the ability to two hand throw heavies and the extra damage buff to sling onto another model worth it?

Yes he is a little redundant, but he's your big hitter. If you could somehow fit an earthborn in for him that gives you pathfinder and a nice animus. Plus the EB will tear anything it wants down. If you can't fit him an axer wouldn't be bad for the pathfinder animus, but really your only hitter at that point is Borka. When i saw hitter I mean something that will kill a heavy in a turn. I know you could do it with several Long Riders but they can be cumbersome to get them all on the right target. With borka's wind wall I wouldn't be terribly worried about the spray on him. So Maybe drop the pyre all together?
