Hello all. Long time WM player but brand new to Hordes. My LGS meta is very heavy WM and only 1 Hordes player and even he only plays it once in a while (skorne player) so i don't have a lot of experience with them. My sons now play too so we each got a Warpack box, Legion, Trolls and me with Circle. I'm a big fan of the "Werewolf" genre so it was an easy choice. Now i've done a lot of reading on here and i know most people are not in favor of pKaya any longer but that just makes me want to use here more. Especially since she works well with the furries. I know her epic form may be better but for now i am sticking with the prime form as i am not a hard core tourny player and only play to have fun and relax. I want to win or lose with what i like, not the best internet tested warband so keep that in mind. I am looking for advice on expanding out to 25 and 35 pts. At 25 i am looking at this:

Kaya the Wildborne 6
Argus4
Gorax4
Feral Warpwolf9
Wolves of Orboros (Leader and 9 Grunts)6
Wolf of Orboros Officer & Standard2
Lord of the Feast4
And then either Shifting Stones or Blackclad Wayfarer. I would like your input on which would be better and if the above seems to be the best fit.

At 35 it would look something like this:

Kaya the Wildborne 6
Argus4
Gorax4
Feral Warpwolf9
Warpwolf Stalker10
Wolves of Orboros (Leader and 9 Grunts)6
Wolf of Orboros Officer & Standard2
Lord of the Feast4
And again either Shifting stones or Blackclad.

The 35 may be too many beasts with 4 and i do luv the druids but not sure how i would fit them in or even if they are a better fit with Kaya. And are the WoO the best option here? Lots of questions i am looking for help with so I do appreciate any and all constructive responses and would like to say thank you in advance. Am ordering what i need tomorrow so any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I'm no Kaya expert but I completely understand favoring the underdog ;) I'm a long time fan of eKrueger and I began playing Circle in Mk1 with Morvahna. If I like the style, I will make it work.

Especially for 35 pointer I would take Shifting Stones, as they are some kind of a fury management for us nowadays. Yeah, it's sub-par and difficult to pull off, but I've found out it is not a once-in-a-blue-moon situation either. And I'm not saying that is the only reason you should take Shifting Stones, they're amazing with their other abilities too ;)

Also Lord of the Feast gives another vote for Shifting Stones.

Wolves of Orboros are good and cheap and quite self-sufficient. On charge they get nice MAT, and once they're engaged they can CMA around. Not to mention the minifeat that will put hurt to almost anything else than maybe arm 20+ stuff. I can't say what would be better... if you ditch Wolves you could get Druids and a one point solo, but I'm not sure if Kaya benefits from Druids that much.

Hey, so I know it might be a slight amount of thread resurrection but I thought of a good point to make.

First, both lists are pretty solid, even though I personally would want to get a second heavy in that 25p Kaya list, thats my personal opinion, because I don't like having my only heavy hitter get owned in the 2nd turn. But yeah, both are well rounded.

The suggestion that I thought of would be to drop the Wolves UA and add that blackclad. The wolves UA gives you two more bodies to a fairly expendable unit, and even though they can put some damage on things with Power Swell with the UA charge, its simply not what the wolves are there for. For other casters, sure you want that unit to be able to put the hurt down when needed, but for Kaya they are simply a meat shield.
The advantages you get by having the blackclad AND the shifting stones are huge! Not only do you keep the fury management from the stones and all the other benefits they give you, but you get that nifty spray and hunters mark to boot. As you might know, hunters mark, is amazing. I find it specifically great with kaya. Normally one of your warpies, if they began fairly back from kaya, can charge and still be an inch or so from leaving your control area. That extra +2" lets you get just that tad bit farther for really great threat ranges, and still be close enough to benefit from Packhunters.

So yeah, thats my suggestion :) take both.
