Finished this recently, it was a birthdaypresent for the 30th birthday of a friend.
Lich Lord Asphyxious and his legion
Size is A3 (297 × 420 mm), technique is ballpoint pen for eGaspy, pencil for the rest.
The scanner wasn't quite capable of showing pencil shading, but it's more or less ok.

Pretty cool. It almost has a flat, medieval appearance, which you don't see very often and is quite striking.

I'm sure Asphyxious would have that picture put up in a temple to himself if the Dragonfather didn't object... fantastic work. It'd be great as a desktop background, too.
Just a question: How long did it take to make it?

You did a great job there. This picture wouldn't look out of place on the Cryx faction book.

Thanks for the positive comments guys!
@ Morgan Coalburn: Difficult to estimate how long I needed, done it in maaaany short sessions insted of a few long ones :) I'd say about 10 hours.

Saw this on Deviant Art the other day. (you got a fave from me)
It really is fantastic. nice work.
Very cool. :)
You should go back and add in JUST the glowy green colors and leave the rest monochromatic. I think that'd look sweet.

I would say that even as old days D&D or AD&D artwork. :)

Bravo! I really like the monochrome effect too. Its the perfect blend or organic and geometric detail.

No, I think that it's more old-school 40K than old-school D&D. I collect old rulebooks; Old-school 40K was quasi-mediaeval, while old-school AD&D was just crap.
