Interesting. Vigilant = Protectorate Light? And it seems like the fears that Rutger had ditched Taryn were unfounded. :)

Vigilant is Protectorate light and Ripjaw comes in a blister of 2 so that makes it unlikely that Cygnar and Protectorate jacks are in plastic .
It also looks like the new warcasters will be released with their respective books

I read the first entry as "Flames of War: Khador"
I might just play that game if this was the case.
March will be a good month for team Red.

Looks like I have a Firefly and Taryn to buy.
Trenchers aren't my thing, but I'll consider it depending on the ruleset.

sorry i meant "bone chickens" not bone jacks in general. my mistake. But yeah, the defilers, the deathripper, and nightwretch came in 2-packs (all the same body as the rip jaw)

Still waiting to see what else Khador will get since I seriously doubt we'll get a light jack. Fingers crossed for a Man-O-War UA.

Aw. No plastic lights indeed. :(
Ah well. Looks like it'll be easy enough to convert up all the Charger-based 'Jacks out of the Firefly kit...
I'm just pleased that there's going to be a 5 month hiatus on model releases for my factions. It'll let me catch up with my purchases. Yippee!

Here's hoping for an accurate ranged light jack in the Vigilant.

Man the Retribution is really going to have to wait on their horses... kinda lame, really. I mean, yes, I do want to catch up on purchases, but I really want to see the models for (IMO) the coolest cavalry in the game rules-wise.
Oh well - now I have to pick up Taryn, I suppose!

12-11-2009, 06:24 AM
Agreed. Although it looks like spring of 2010 will be my opportunity to get caught up on my Hordes faction as both Cryx and Retribution are light in releases.
I do wonder how long it will be before the Retribution cavalry models come out...knowing my luck they will release the same month as the Cryx cavalry (that's entirely conjecture on my part, by the way...).

Welp, PP jsut got another ~$30 from me. Taryn and a Firefly are lock-in purchases, between my Nemo mad science list and Rutger needing his partner...

As a Trencher fan, I'll be picking up the Commandos whatever their rules are.
I'm hoping for a cheaper Trencher unit that doesn't have Dig In and Smoke, but RAT 6 and possibly something else.
The idea of a squad of mobile riflemen with Rangers + Commandos + Finn seems like it'd work well with my ideas for a Kraye army... :3
The Firefly, on the other hand, will be a nice addition to my Nemo list, although that's already feeling short on space.
Maybe I'll have to start planning a 75 or even 100 point army...

Yay Taryn!
I second that. Rutger I was kinda meh about, but now that his partner is coming down the pipe, I might grab the both of them for my Highborn.

Vigilant Light Warjack
Oh yeah! Vigilant makes him sound like a bodyguard but the Devout already has that role. Maybe he'll be the "other half" of the Devout I was hoping for, but more likely he'll just be a ranged jack or something.

True, but the Ripjaw is freaking huge in comparison to the other bone chickens based on base-size comparisons. Not that I'm complaining, mind you - I'm happy to continue getting 2 packs :p

Probably this means that the Retribution cavalry will be in plastic, judging by the amount of delay. ALL of the plastic stuff has been way way late in coming out, compared to their respective metal counterparts. I'm thinking plastic cav is on the horizon.

Odd thought.
The little star on the malefic releases - what does it mean?
See...things like the Plastic Warjack kits and the Exemplar Cinerators, Fellblades, and Warspears have stars...other things don't.
The new Lights - Firefly, Vigilant, Ripjaw - they have stars by their names as well.
Very interesting...

Just because we've only seen the release of Warjack "kits" in plastic at this point doesn't mean that we couldn't see things like these single light warjacks in plastic, too.
Don't assume, people. We all know where that leads!

It could all just be mind games on PP's part after having let the cat out of the bag early about the bastions, they would definitely be twisted enough to tease us about the light jacks. Anyway since there are no product codes, it is entirely possible that they are just saying that those items are coming March without giving away too many details about said products.

While as Highborn and Cygnar player I'm happy to see Taryn di la Rovissi, I can't help but think this is another nail in the GMCAs coffin.

Yeah, but what if she won't work for Cygnar? What is she's mad at them for not helping enough in Llael, and only works for Highborne and Protectorate? :p
Highly unlikely, yes, but if would alleviate your worries about the GMCA.

Rovissi sounds italian to me, which would put the stress on the second syllable, like Panucci or Giovanni. If it was french, I think the stress would be on the last syllable.

I think it's closer to Italian. "Di" as a pronoun doesn't exist in French as far as I know. It makes those vocals easier for me, too. :)

Malefic always has product information before the US due to them needing it earlier or something. Malefic has yet to be wrong about a model coming out in the month they state.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY HOPE Okaru gets rules. I absolutely adore that model (I got him last week and will start painting him tomorrow), and would love for him in my army.
I've known a Taryn, and it was pronounced Tare-ryn, like Karen. I'm pronouncing her name more in the Italian pronunciation, so Tare-ryn dee luh Row-vee-see. Man, that's a mouthful.
that's what she said

"Taryn di la Rovissi" would be something like "Taryn de la Rovisse" in French.

It is to highlight the plastic kit (★プラ製), Japanese love to put Star, Circle and Triangle to highlight stuff, it is easy with a Japanese keyboard. It annoys me all the time.

Considering that the Highborn Contract only allows models that work for Cygnar I don't think this is too likely. :)

I have to admit, my calling out the star was just my innocent way of saying "Look! Plastic!" without being quite so obvious :p

I figured so, but the star annoys me so much, I work in a japanese company and my excel sheet look like a map of the night sky, venting...
Back on topic, I wonder why the retribution did not get plastic light kit, I would have love that.

I pronounce it TAH-rin dee lah row-VEE-see, although I'm not certain if it should be TAH-rin or TAY-rin.
Now, I know Privateer is American and thus can't pronounce foreign words properly, but I hope to high heavens (Urcaen?!) that it's TAH-rin and not some abomination like Tay-reen or something. I'm still miffed about Khador SOMEHOW being Kay-dor and not Kha-dor (aspirate the K to get the KH!), since nothing else in Khador sounds like it would support a Kay sound there.
I kid about Americans, of course. Most people can't pronounce foreign words correctly. I still oppose Kay-dor though. :p
Also: I really do hope Taryn and Rutger will work for Cygnar. You have NO IDEA how long I've been wanting them to have rules. Now with them and Dannon I can FINALLY have my IK RPG cover trifecta (well, still need those two chaps in the background of the WG cover to get the pentad) going. ALMOST makes me want to get Sam and the Dogs so I can have the Character Primer again, and Alexia (though I started with the CP, not the WFT, so I don't have much attachment to her).
