Hi all. We have our Genesis tourny this weekend and I want to use Mohsar. I have not played with him much previously but he feels like a little better all comer type lock than Kromac or Kaya. I don't use Baldur at all. In constructing my lists, they are as follows so far:
25pt

Mohsar
Feral
Gnarlhorm
Warden
LoTF

35
Mohsar
Feral
Gnarlhorn
Warden
LoTF
Druids
Shifting Stones

50
Mohsar
Feral
Gnarlhorn
Warden
Warden
LoTF
Druids
Shifting Stones
WoO Min unit
Blackclad

I would really like to get another warden into the 35 list but just can't make it fit without seeming losing something else i really want. Do these lists seem workable? In the games i have played so far it works out fairly well but not quite consistant enough. Any thoughts and advice would be much be much appreciated and thanks in advance.

I think, I would make three changes to your list, one at each point level.

First, at the 25 point level, I would replace the Gnarlhorn with a Gorax and a min unit of Wolves. This keeps your fury generation the same while giving mohsar a screen to protect himself or sands of fate with. It would look like this.

Mohsar +5
-Feral 9
-Warden 9
-Gorax 4
Wolves (min) 4
Lord of the Feast 4
25 points

Second, since you now have min Wolves instead of that gnarlhorn, I would upgrade your wolf squad to max, instead of adding the shifting stones making your second list look like such.

Mohsar +5
-Feral 9
-Warden 9
-Gorax 4
Druids 7
Wolves (full) 6
Lord of the Feast 4
34 points

Mohsar +5
-Feral 9
-Warden 9
-Gorax 4
Druids 7
Wolves (full) 6
Lord of the Feast 4
34 points

Finally, for your 50 points list, because you STILL have some extra points from that gnarlhorn/wolves/gorax swap from earlier, you can put BACK in those Shifting Stones you wanted, toss in the Blackclad you listed as well, and have just enough points left over for the Megalith instead of a second Warden. The final list, has just as much killing power as your first one due to the Megalith's prowess over a standard warden and the inclusion of the gorax. In addition you have additional support and protection for Mohsar with a full unit of Wolves instead of a minimum one.
Hell, you even have one point left over for some Swamp Gobbers in your 50 and 35 point list :)

It will look like this when it is all said and done.

Mohsar +5
-Feral 9
-Warden 9
-Megalith 11
-Gorax 4
Druids 7
Wolves (full) 6
Lord of the Feast 4
Shifting Stones 2
Blackclad 2
Swamp Gobbers 1
50 points

Just my 2 (or more) cents...

Thanks for the reply DF. Was gettin worried no one looked at these boards anymore..lol. I have been torn on the gorax idea. I have tried with and without but can't decide which i like better yet. Seems like when he's in there i never find a use for him other than mal and his animus and i wish i had something else but when he's not in there i always hit a point i wish i had that animus. The other thing i tried last night in the 50 pt list was the stoneward and stalkers. I had never really used them much before. They were just gathering dust. But i saw another post that they worked really well with mirage and Mohsar and tried them out. I really liked them and they did work well. Going to keep experimenting with that also before Sunday.

Well, the reason I say max unit instead of min with UA is because with mohsar, you don't need the wolves to be offensive. They are a tarpit for him and simply living weapons for sands of fate shenanigans. They are distractions and annoyances, used only to get in, and clog up the enemy. The UA, while fantastic (I do take a max with UA in many lists) makes them only more offensive which, is not there purpose in such a list.

@ warmachinenoob1, if you DO find you really like the woldstalkers with Mohsar, then by all means find a way to include them. I would suggest doing at the beginning 25 point level as opposed to later. Perhaps something like Mohsar, Gnarlhorn, Warden, Gorax, Woldstalkers, Lord? Would pack quite alot of puch with that list early on so you would not necessarily need a feral. Problem is, later on you gotta shave off points to put the feral back in, at the very least in the 50p level.

something like this maybe? (not much thought whent to this, just going on the fly)

Mohsar +5
-Gnarlhorn 8
-Warden 9
-Gorax 4
Woldstalkers 5
Lord 4
25 points

then

Mohsar +5
-Gnarlhorn 8
-Megalith 11 (upgrade from warden)
-Gorax 4
Druids 7
Woldstalkers 5
Lord 4
34 points

Mohsar +5
-Feral 9
-Gnarlhorn 8
-Megalith 11
-Gorax 4
Druids 7
Woldstalkers 5
Wolves (min) 4
Blackclad 2
Lord 4
49 points.

You could up the Feral to a stalker since you can buff his MAT easily with the Gorax and Megalith or bounding to fill in the last point. You also could maybe then drop the blackclad for max wolves if you find you dont need even more threat range over bounding.
