Hi all,

I´ve got that full unit of Kayazi lying around (used them with Magnus in MKI) and therefore I´m thinking about starting a eVlad army simply due to the fact that Kayazi under eVlads feat are still a very potent assasination tool.

But Kayazi and eVlad alone don´t form a full army, therefore I need your opinins on what works well with eVlad.

Modelwise I like the Spriggan and I´ve already noticed that Drago is a nice tool of destruction for eVlad. The Spriggan offers some opportunity to handle stealth models, which tells me to get the Widowmakers too (and their Merc unit attachment Kell Bailoch).

But what else should I take into consideration?
Any advice is highly appreciated.

Drago is an absolute monster under any Vlad. Widowmakers are strong by themselves and still a viable threat during feat turn. Manhunters and drakhun are good at maintaining side control and are ideal for feat turn.
I prefer having Shocktroopers to protect the squishy warriors until delivery time and sometimes running in during feat turn to gum up the enemy line. Though since you've got Kayazy they'll probably do the same thing against most models.
Don't forget about reavers and Fenris since transference and the feat are usable on them.
Vlad likes jack marshals and the Kovnik under feat turn is brutal regardless of whatever happens to the jacks he ushered forward.

The biggest question is, what point ranges are you running?

You can't stress that you need to use Two Manhunters with eVlad, as the amount of threat that they present is unbelievable. How do you like MAT 11, 2 P+S 14 Weapon Master swings with a 12" charge threat range? 'Cause that's what you get on eVlad's feat turn.

Kayazy's are excellent as well, with Kill Stroke and eVlad's feat make for a deadly combination. Slap Transference on them to make sure the opposing Warcaster dead with MAT 12, P+S 15 Ganging attacks.

Anything is good with eVlad, really. But to build up something specific, we're going to need point values.

Thanks for your answers so far!

Manhunters – yes, I´ve already thought about them! They seems to be just brutal.

And I also thought about some MoW.

We normally play with 25 to 35 points with the majority beeing 30 pts games. Yes, it´s somewhat odd, but we feel that 30 points is just the right number of models on the table.

One thing I like to have is a well balanced force, meaning having both – melee as well as some shooting.

A popular jack duo for eVlad is Behemoth and a Spriggan. Some shooting, some anti-stealth utility, and a whole lot of melee punch. If you can't fit in all the squishies you want than swap one out for Drago.
