Has anyone ever converted their Cygnar jacks with coils instead of smokestacks? I've seen the Khador army with coils (http://privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?t=98) in the past, has anyone tried converting fully to electric?

I am looking for some tips for conversion. When the new plastics come out, I want to try my hand at a Cygnar force that focuses on 'jacks, but I *REALLY* like the concept of them not being steam and smoke but sparks and ozone...

:)

Since the Centurion smoke stacks are separate pieces from its boiler, i think that would be the easiest way.

lights will be more difficult

I like the idea, just get a few shoulders off the T-head and you have a lot of coils to work with unless you want to model your own which shouldn't be too hard.

There's a slew of things in the parts store, from sprues of tiny coils (https://store.privateerpress.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=7293) to even purchasing the T-head's own back coil (https://store.privateerpress.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=7292). Nemo (https://store.privateerpress.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=7425) and his epic version (https://store.privateerpress.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=8522) have some pretty nifty backpack parts too, as well as epic Stryker (https://store.privateerpress.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=7302).

I'm trying to make a "wish list" now to see how much outfitting jacks might come to, but I wanted to see what others may of done as well so I might not hit the same roadblocks (if there are any).

I would imagine since the models were the same BASE models, but with slight modification (nothing to weapons nor other armament) there'd be no issues in tourneys... hopefully.

Someone did that a while ago. Unfortunately, I can't remember who did such an awesome thing.

Take a look here (http://privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?t=2776).. There are some great conversions.

I think it would be easier if you made your own and then made molds to cast them again and again...probly cheaper too. Just find appropriately sized tubes, wrap them with the right sized wires (or GS), let it fully set, add a "cap" to the tops, create a two-part mold, and cast them in re-melted plastic/metal.

You could even cast them in clear or tinted resin so light shows through (if you wanted lighted coils).
