View Full Version : Reckoner
Here is my new reckoner.
I didn't like the mace, so replaced it.
I know some parts are better than others, but after 4.5~ hours I felt I don't want to put any more into this mini. Maybe some day I'll feel like putting some final touches on it.

Still, I'd like to hear of anything you think is a major downer to the mini.
thanks :)

it is nice, i like the overall desert look and i didn't realize you changed the mace until i read it.
The mini has some minor flaws, but i'm sure if you look at it from a 2 feet distance, it looks just fine. One thing confuses me though. What's that blue on the menofixes suposed to be?

Is it supposed to be oxidation? kind of what it looks like....
Its a kind of arcane glow. All my protectorate have it on their menofixes.

I'm getting an 'ancient antique' feel from it. It kinda looks like and old porcelain statue to me. I think it would work well as the veteran 'jack for some casters and a whole army in this scheme would seem to be very reverent. Works well for a religious (if not misguided, said the cygnar player :) ) faction.

Looking good. I like the filigreed look of the menofixes. Maybe its just the angle the pic is taken from, but the head looks like the helmet from a "beakie" 40K Space Marine. Very nice work bud.

It does look like a beakie helmet.... Love the mace. I thought the old one always kinda just looked like a pillar.
thanks for the comments :)
Yeah, does look like a beekie. I actually don't really like the head, but since it comes with that frame around it, kinda hard to replace it, so I left it as is.

Smooth looking paint job, I hope you reconsider and do finish it off.

Hey, you replaced his hamburger mace. =) Not to bad work on the 'jack. Looks dusty and worn. Like one of the first run Reckoners.
thanks for the comments.
I think you motivated me to put another hour into it. Will see how it goes :)
