Well, I got my first 3 jacks, caster, WARDOG!(tm) and mechanics painted. I'm happy with everything except the devastator. (I'm not sure how good he looks in the "chipped" paintscheme I went with - im not sure on the figure in general actually. He's very... plain.)

Oh and sorry for the photo quality. Not quite enough light to get a sharp image it seems.

First words out of my mouth were "holy sh*t!" That looks like one seriously bad-arse battlegroup there, great job on the painting! I do a similar darker red on my own Khador, and I think it looks much better than the standard scheme... it's a bit more grimdark. ;)

100% awesome. Solid paint jobs and the weathering and basing are great also.\
Glad to see some khador that are stock red scheme.
Everybody and their mother seems to want to paint Khador everything BUT red these days.
Nice work on a solid application of the red look.

They do all look great. I find that I am my own worst critic most of the time. From these pics you should be proud to table them.

Sweet paint jobs and a vicious looking battle group, to boot! Karchev is so cool and you've got him decked out with a bad arse army.
PS Nice bases. I wish I could get static grass to behave that well.

The trick to static grass is to paint undiluted white glue (pva) to the area, then using thumb and finger, pick up a big clump of grass, using pressure to make it hold together in a blob. Press it firmly down onto the glue, then release, and it will collapse into a heap. Tap the excess off.
Once you've done that, blow very hard round all the edges of the grass and it will stand up straight.
With that advice given, what I've used there isn't static grass. Its "grass clumps" premade by some company.
I bought mine here (http://www.barrule.com/workshop/scratch%20builders%20paradise/Silflor.html).
Tip for anyone who tries it out, once you've stuck the clump down, sprinkle it with some flock or sand or whatnot, to blend its edge in. (I used snow flock, for obvious reasons).

I like the red on these. Its not that bright merry christmas red hehe. The battle damage looks great!

I've tried the blowing bit with only mixed success. Maybe using full strength glue will help. Anyway, I'll also check your link. Thanks a ton! :)
