Finally got off my butt and start working on the Prime Ap himself. Started off with some basecoating.

Plan on shading the flesh and clth with blues and greys as a cooling to contrast with the red and bronze-y armor (warm colors).

Camera is really fuzzy. That will make it difficult to see the detail on your final paint job. It's difficult to really give any feedback this way. I do, however, applaud that you're actually painting and posting it up here for the world to see. I run with the "prime black" scheme myself. It makes it difficult for my wife, who is a very visual player and has to constantly ask which model is which and where my caster is. So good on ya! (and get a new camera ;) )

Gotta use, the macro setting on the camera, and don't zoom in with the lens, just get the camera close up.

Hey bronzeback40! Nice start to the scheme. The cool/warm contrast should be nice. Looking forward to the rest of it. Zaal is one of my favourite warlocks.
I'm no photo master, but you should try using your camera's 'macro' setting (looks like a flower icon, usually). Also, set your camera on a 2-second timer if you can. That will stop hand shake, especially in low light conditions. Also, it helps to have (preferably diffuse) light hitting the model from 2 or 3 different sources. Your background is nice and neutral, which is good.

FOCUS! FOCUS!
In all it's a good looking start. Just tighten up the camera work and you'll get more feedback.
A new camera is not the answer, it's understanding how to use the one you have is. Try this link (http://www.miniaturewargaming.com/index.php/wiki/Photographing_Miniatures_From_Wee_Toy_Soldiers/)
