Hello everyone. Figured I would mention this here, but a store here in Orlando Florida called Phoenix Games (http://www.phoenixgames.us/) has recently started holding Warmachine and Hordes events, including a League night on Wednesday nights!

I had called em up and they are a small community, about 5-6 players including 2 store employees, and they are doing Warmachine tournaments, events, and they intend to keep Wednesday nights as the offical "Warmachine Night"

If you live in Orlando Florida I would suggest you check em out. I know I will be! And if you decide to show up, I would be happy to face off with you, using my piddly 15 points of Khador.

Had another awesome night up there. Sadly we are lacking players but if we can get some of the Orlando folks to visit we can make this store even more awesome (And I know you are out there! *eyes players*)

Yeah...stop going there. Stay in the Publix plaza =p

The Amorous Armadillo Game Shoppe (http://www.amorousarmadillo.com/) will be open almost immediatly after Rhubarb closes. Rhubarb Games was and IS the only store in all of Central FL to do mini gaming right! Armadillo will carry on and only improve the awesome community that is already here!

What was the point of this post Sturm? You wanted to bash a store that you have not played at? I disagree that Rhubar is the only store to do mini gaming right in Central Florida, and I believe that, if given the chance, Phoenix Games can be just as good IF NOT BETTER then Armadillo / Rhubarb. Besides, Phoenix is closer to my home, and I will continue to game there. I may visit the Armadillo shop, possibly, just to see, but I am of the opinion that variety in playing locations can only be good, not bad.

Also, this thread was about Phoenix. If you wanna pimp Armadillo, then make your own post please.

Let's be fair: more options is better than the same one by another name. The mentality of being the only community with the right to exist and thus squashing expansion or dismissing it is disappointing.

There are people in that store who have seen us play and want to start up. I am not interested in coaxing them away from the store they like, and neither is Stomphoof.

Sturm isn't bashing Phoenix at all. Looks like he simply wants Armadillo to do well, without having its player base siphoned off. Its my opinion that Phoenix and Armadillo are at total opposite ends of town and can only help each other in the long run.

There may not have been the intention of coaxing anyone away, but the posts about 'finding a new LGS' and trying to get the community to move to a new LGS could have been taken in a multitude of ways. Honestly, I'd let things simmer down for a bit. Keep on pushing Phoenix. The more WM players the better.

Yup....lose/lose at this point. Going to retract my post. Apologies to anyone my none offensive and non bashing post could have offended.

Cuevas is 100% right with my intent. He is also right as well, the customer base does not overlap all that much and like Paladin, would only strengthen the community as a whole in conjunction with the Armadillo/Rhubarb community. Said events are actually quite fun and generally a win situation for all parties involved, customers and owners.

I did not bash at all. I did not even mention Phoenix games. I did make a playful emote though, which generally, universally, is a playful banter and a sign of non-malicious intent or to stress sarcasm.

I would like to point out that, one of my best friends is opening a game store, your damn right I am going to spam it a little (http://www.amorousarmadillo.com/). I would have assumed with how heart broken you were, up until 4-5 days ago, the appreciation would have been matched.

Your right in your above lashing at me and the email you sent me copying it, I have never been there. I probably wont go there either, too far for me. The only reason honestly. I am sure Phoenix Games is a great store. They have a clean website, which is usually a good sign for the real store.
