Skorne Dominar Rasheth VS. Trollbloods Grissel

Been having a good time with Dominar Rasheth, so I decided to take him out for spin. Sadly, our local LGS (rhubarbgames.com) was having its final good bye party so these last few games were bittersweet. On the subjugation!

Pepe (my gracious opponent) wins the deployment roll and chooses to go first. Worth noting that before the game starts Pep pulls out his earthborn and promptly drops the model from like 1500ft in the air. It smashes in half! :(. Trolls brick up pretty tight in the middle, with both heavy beasts anchoring a flank.

I also form a solid center. A dedicate a few models as flankers. In this case the savage and the void spirit taking advantage of Rasheths huge ctrl area.

Since we're not playing a scenario, I'm in planning to just brick up the middle , nice and easy.

The Trolls gesticulate rudely at the most offended Skorne and begin their advance.

Don't ask me how that earthborn got from the left flank to the right that fast! :P The Trolls speed towards the Skorne line, while the chronicler guy cast that amazingly annoying song or whatever on the fennblades. The one that knocks down your warrior models if they kill an affected troll.


The Skorne advance in shieldwall formation. Bronzy goes down the middle. With the two heavies on an extreme flank, I'm not worried about anything hurting the bronzeback.

The fennblades charge on in, but the majority of the unit is out of charge range so just runs in. His chronicler guy sings the knockdown song on the fennblades again. What a jerk! The earthborn makes a wild charge at the titan sentry and finds himself 1.5 inches out.

The cyclops savage diverts some attention.

The trolls oblige me with the first punch, and the shaman crafts talisman for Rasheth. The Dominar advances a touch and and arcs Blood Mark on to the earthborn. Rasheth unleashes the plague wind and throws a bunch of influence on to the champions. The champions merely scratch each other and Rasheth throws Train Wreck on to the Bronzy. Dominar Fats is sitting on 1 fury. The Bronzy goes absolutely nuts and starts smashing thru infantry left and right. Bodies are chucked out of the way as the angry titan barrels his way down the line. My opponent fails 6 tough rolls! As a result the Bronzy is neckdeep in his lines and mere inches from Grissel. The earthborn pays the price of the aborted charge and gets felled by the titan sentry. Blood Mark /Feat/+enrage really makes a mess of things.

Worth noting that the cetrati advance and kill off a few trollbloods, getting knocked down in the process.

BUT, I'll give a commendation to whoever guesses the troll players next move/turn. Somethings to keep in mind...the sentry kills the mauler this turn in the next picture, so pretend he isn't there.
