Jyggdrasil

I wanted to make something to use as my own personal objective markers when playing Destruction. Most people just slap a couple of blank bases onto the table, which is a shame considering what you can do with fairly minimal effort. I wanted better, but I also wanted it quick and easy. The following was accomplished entirely in one night.
I started with the required 2 large bases and then added a small handful of fiedlstone Hirst blocks and a couple of spare bane thralls. As it happens, I also have a pair of BBox Sorschas that will be used to make another pair of markers for my Khador.
1st stage complete. Hirst blocks have been glued together in an interesting shape and the bane have been assembled and undercoated.

Stage 2 complete.I painted the Hirst blocks 1st (black, followed by a drybrush of grey and then white) and then gave the banes a base coat of bronze.

All done. I gave the banes a heavy drybrush of dark green followed by a regualr drybrush of lighter green. as you can see, the end result leaves the bronze in the protected recesses with the more exposed areas showing corrosion. A bit of clean up with a black pen and then a coat of varnish. Done.

Free tip to save money - rather than using relatively expensive metal figures from PPress, whack a pair of cheap, common Mageknight or D&D plastic singles on top of the Hirst blocks.
