Hi all!
I'm looking for a lavender or very pale purple paint and I haven't been able to find any paint of either shade. I'm looking for a purple that is paler than P3's "Beaten Purple" which is more of a royal purple. I want it almost pastel/Easter-ish purple. Does anyone know where I can find such a color? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

And adding white to Beaten Purple won't work? Mixing some blue, red and white won't work, either?

Purple + Blue + White = lavender. Have fun.

Vallejo has a "Violet Blue" in their Model Color line. might not be pastel enough, but it looks lighter than the royal purple.

I second this. You can see the color here:

It's a good base color, easily lightened with white as needed.

Think she's actually looking for a paint color instead of mixing.

Definitely look into the Vallejo Model Color line. They have quite a few blue-lilac type colors that may be very close to what you're looking for. The Violet Blue mentioned above is a good one, and Azure is another strong possibility.

Reaper's Amethyst Purple may also be a really good try.

Americana makes a Lavender, and at least a half dozen other shades of purple besides. They do make a few colors that are too thin to use effectively, but Lavender is not one of them.
The Americana colors I've had a problem with are Primary Blue, Deep Burgundy, and Dioxazine Purple. Those three are closer to the consistency of a wash than a normal paint, but I might have just picked up bad tubs. I buy the 2 oz bottles, I've painted four armies (and I buy a full unit of everything) with the stuff so far and the only colors I've had to get more of are Lamp Black and Titanium White.

I painted my Mauler purple, and his stomach is actually a lavender color. I mixed P3 Underbelly Blue with GW Lich Purple.

I think that isn't cost-effective when you can easily make the exact color you want just by mixing it.

Spud knows what I'm talkin' about.

Not to start a fight but, this person had a totally legitimate question. No need to come off as a total dbag and give some smart*** reply.

The quoted post is pretty much the opposite of a "total dbag" or a "smart*** reply." captinspud just gave a quick recipe for what lavender is. That seems rather helpful to me.

It's how you say things. Not to mention it is much easier to find a lavender paint rather then try to mix your own in my opinion. Saves time and money.

Vallejo's Violet Blue looks a little darker than what I want, but Reaper's Amethyst Purple seems almost perfect (at least from the image on the website). I'm going to order it and try it out. Thanks all for the help and advice! :)

How often do you use lavender paint? I mean, really. When do you use White, Red or Blue? Just because you're spending say $3.50 for one pot of paint to $11.50 (these are general prices, you may spend more or less) for three, doesn't make it a better value. If the lavender paint gets used one one or two models, and left to gather dust, that is a waste. I don't know, I just feel I'd rather have three pots of paint I WILL use regularly to one random color. I have a nice old pot of Citadel Amethyst Purple I got from a friend, and have only used it on the cloak on Fiona. Now I just look at it and go "What a pretty color that doesn't exist anymore..."
Wasted paint.
I didn't take Spud's words as smartass or dbag at all. I took it as over simplification.

He could have put it a little bit better than he did. He may have not meant it as a "smartass or dbag" comment but it came out that way on the forums.
Guess it all comes down to the reader really but I see "this + this + this = the answer you wanted" is a not as nice as "Have you thought of mixing this, this, and this to get the desired color you wanted? It could save you some time and get you some extra paint in the process".The OP got the info for the paint they needed, so another answer solved, thanks to the PP Forums!:D

GW's Hormagaunt Purple in the Foundation Paint line is lavender. You could easily lighten that up if you needed it lighter. (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat150006&prodId=prod810846)
