While I have been play testing Grissel, she seems to be much the same, but lacks threat range and a little pizazz. Also, I have noticed Grissel uses very little of her fury on herself and thought I might come up with something to spice up her model, make her a little more scary and less mundane.
Empowered Fell Calls: Once per turn Grissel may spend a fury to give each of her Fell Calls a range of CTRL rather then CMD.
I think this gives her and the troops she is supposed to support, a lot more flexibility. It leads us away from the brick style of play much more and makes our opponents think twice about getting to close or underestimating her.

I can live without the changes.
I personallly think Grissel is solid enough that your proposed buff while nice, it's gravy.
I would like another spell though. Not sure what.

I'd love that change, but it might be a little Overpowered. I'd personally settle for Cacophany actually affecting everyone in CTRL on the Feat turn like the rest of her Fell Calls.

We want it to be a pulse not an aura. This is a big deal, as any caster can just step out of her CMD range and lob spells as they please.

I think the biggest case for Grissel getting another spell is the new Xerxis, who now can basically "Fell Call" and doesn't actually pay for it with a spell, and who still has *more* spells than Grissel despite having one less fury.
Not sure if it's unbalanced yet, just makes you think a little more, especially when one of his spells is IG, which looks pretty good next to Rift.
I think, really, Grissel probably hasn't seen a lot of testing since she was pretty solid (especially by comparison to most of our others) in Mark 1 and isn't the most flashy or exciting. But in a world that in many cases has gotten a power tweak upwards, or so it feels, it'll be well worth seeing how she still lines up.

See, I thought that considering the change, they could leave it as is and just let it be 12 inches meaning they have to have an arc node close or at least have to have some amount of risk to just fling spells everywhere. As is, many casters have little worry about just throwing spells at us as they please, this helps change that.
