I was reading, through this guys on Friday, and was wondering what my Bearded Brothers opinions on them.
Over all I was not super impressed, I can see some power with Huntsman + the Demolisher, but I am really concerned about the squishiness of the unit, particularly for 4 points, they are in direct competition with A&H, and Greylords, which seems like a tough slot to fill.
What are all your thoughts?

As a troll player they make the cut for me. I plan to use them to clean up small enemy units or support larger units in offenses using demolisher to clean up enemy units by advancing them and shooting at RAT 8 to cut enemies down. I will screen them with champs or Kriel warriors and counter attack with them because with huntsmen they have awesome killing power.

I kinda like the duo. Though 4 pts is a bit on the high side. I'll play test with a proxy before I can come up with any concrete opinions. But on paper, I like them.

I find that 4pts for solo hunters is too high. Especially when we already have access to Widowmakers, Kell and Eiryss who do a lot more too.

If you want to shoot things, take widowmakers. If you want to smack things, take 2 Manhunters.
Never spend those 4 points taking the Bounty hunters.

I wouldn't say never take them; they have their shining spots, such as if you are against some Bears, Demos, or Black Ogrun. Very much a corner case though.
A+H do about as well when shooting, and they can do other stuff.
I really don't think they are worth it.

I feel silly asking but where are you guys getting these stats for these folks?
I think for me I need to see the rules and point cost of our upcoming Winter Guard Marksman before i decide. We have a couple solid Trollkin players at my game store, so the takedown ability might be handy. That being said I fear if i included them i would end up making a list the built to fit them...rather than a list that has a natural flow with them.
I may pick them up if the models look nice enough regardless, but they may or may not see play often.

I received them in a Privateer Press news letter sent via email.

This.
Plus Greylords for Shotguns.
My friend showed the rules for these guys, where do you find them for the rest of the releases? The other gencon stuff as well?
Edit 1:
Which reminds me...
Is it cavalry or calvary?
Edit 2:
They fixed that. :(

I'm talking about the forum automatically changing the mispelling of cavalry to Golgotha.

I found the stats on TGN along with the Ghordson Basher.

They seem pretty inferior to Herne & Jonne who are only 3 points. The only advantage they have is they don't need to be in B2B to be effective.
Critical knockdown is always nice. I could use these guys as a roaming mobile field gun of sorts. RAT 10 with aim bonus is good.
Generally think they are over costed though. Don't see much Merc Caster synergy either.

Actually it depends :p
In this case, probably cavalry. Cavalry are mounted soldiers. Calvary is the hill that Jesus Christ was crucified on - "On the cross at Calvary, he set this prisoner free".

And on forums such as this, the latter is a typo of the former. ;)
OT, I need to get that Newsletter as well...
I want to start proxy testing this duo. Are we assuming Bull is a medium base model? If it says on the card, i cannot find it..
I had a chance to proxy this duo in some games. Overall i am impressed. I don't think it is fair to try and put these two in the same category Manhunters, Widowmakers, or Greylords. They have their own place, and we did find a good combo with them. More on that in a sec.
Bull is what makes this unit work. He is a nice powerhouse of a merc, and his Demolisher rifle is a beast! Maybe he is a little under strength, but two swings with that sword, especially at a hunted target, out him at a Mat 8 and P+S of 13.
However we found that when you combine these two with Harlan Versch you can put a serious amount of firepower from three models (total cost 6) into an opponent.
Here is the scenario. If you know your opponent is going to have upkeep on a specific unit\jack\beast...make them prey. You should know who the candidates will be most likely. Send the trio at them at the right time at with a 16 inch threat range you can have:
One strength 12 shot at Rat 8
Potentially three shots at strength 14 with beatback and knockdown at Rat 8
Two shots with boosted attack and damage rolls at Rat 6. These shots also ignore spells that add to Def or ARM
Not too shabby. More work will be required but i have a good feeling about them.
