just before i saw your post yesterday, i came up with a quite similar list in my mind. tried it tonight and won against madrak ;)

he played something like
madrak
-axer
-impaler
-mauler
kriel warriors (max)
-standard and piper

i started, and first turn i only ran forward, as was he...
in second turn i offered him my blaster as bait (by shooting the axer, but missing), keeping all other things back. he took the blaster with the axer and run his kriels forward, with improved tough, the other two beasts on the right flank where brun & lug were waiting. he kept madrak in back behind a wall, so i could get to him.
in third turn i took his axer with the driller and tried to charge the impaler on the other flank with lug, but failed because of lack of distance... so i tried to take as many kriels as possible, and activated gorten as the last one, taking another 2 kriels with eruption and in order to save brun & lug (and all the other army) i feated and pushed him back... he didnt much else than repositioning in his turn...
on my turn i went forward taking out the impaler, and more kriels... my basher was just between of b&l and his mauler... to save b&l again... in his turn he threw the basher on b&l, killing them almost, but i think all 3 of them had like 1-3 pts left, but were living....
next turn he more or less conceded, as my whole army was charging him, lug knocking him down, and i think it was gorten who finished him... ;)

i played another game with this list against sorscha which i lost... i positioned myself badly just behind a bottleneck on the map, and he windrushed forward, feating and then eiryss was stripping all my focus off of me. so he had another complete turn to finish me off, which he did... ;)

however, i still like the list, and will try it out more in the next days...
