A fleeing model must run
during its activation. It is
not required to move the full
distance of its run, however,
and it can even run 0 ˝ if desired.
If a fleeing model cannot run, it
makes a full advance and must forfeit its action. A fleeing
model cannot advance toward any enemy models. While
fleeing, a model cannot make actions, advance outside of its
normal movement, give orders, cast spells, or make attacks,
including attacks that do not take place during the model’s
or unit’s activation, such as a free strike.
At the end of its activation, a fleeing model or unit might
have an opportunity to rally.
--Here is the fleeing rule. So, your fail in my turn and lose your entire action (not movement) the next turn (facing anyway you like), then once you have activated and chose to move them 0" to run" then their last action is to check for Rallying.
--So, what I still find useful-
When you fail a fear check you can no longer make free strikes. This means I can still use something to scare you and then ignore them as they cry then go and kill your lock/caster.
You automatically lose your action the next turn and COULD lose another turn and during that turn I would ignore their free strikes too.
--don't think this is so bad as when one had the option to run they would run through free strikes usually and die and this was a little overbearing as no one would ever take the models that would run. Now it is not overbearing and you will be more willing to take those units but could still have a few consequences. You actually have to pay attention as to whether or not something is not fearless.
